Problem With Braille Screen Imput And Messages On IPhone XR

By Zoe Victoria, 16 June, 2019

Braille on Apple Products

I like to use braille screen imput to type on my IOS devices. Be it a diary entry, an email, or a searchfield. I've been having a problem with it in the messages app though, and it's really getting on my nerves.I can hardly type a text message without my hand activating the proximity sencor and starting to record audio. If anyone can help me eliminate this problem or submit it to Apple I'd be very grateful. Also sorry if this is in the wrong forem, I wasn't sure where to put it.

What I do is....

Hello,
This has been a problem for me for a very long time. What I usually do is start typing with the right hand in screen away mode. For example using my right hand to put in the dot 6 for a capital sign. Once I hear it say dot 6, I will then place my left hand on the screen and start typing in DSI as normal. This usually works.

How to fix this problem

It's a setting you have to turn off. Go in your audio messages and turn off raise to listen. That fixes the recording problem.
