Issues with MBraille as a third party keyboard.

Braille on Apple Products

I've been having issues with MBraille when I use it in the messages and mail apps. More and more, it's crashing and I have to close the app and start again.
I'm running iOS 9.31, and using an iPhone 6 s plus.

I sent feedback to the developer, but haven't gotten any kind of response. This is disappointing, as this isn't a cheap app. Very much worth the money when it works properly, but lately it's not working that well.

Anyone else having issues? Any ideas for work-arounds out there?

RE: Issues with MBraille as a third party keyboard

Hi Louise!

That sounds quite interesting. I actually had a crash today when I worked with the third party keyboard. I believe the crash was related to the direct input mode that was turned on when I had the crash.

Therefor my first suggestion is to see if you have direct input turned on. Here is how to check:

  1. Start the third party keyboard as usual.
  2. Hold down dot 6 and swipe to the right (or towards the home button). MBraille will now say: Direct input off/on depending on the previous setting.
  3. Repeat this until you hear: Direct input off.

Hope this helps

Best regards Thomas
