Can't type with more than 5 dots in IOS braille screen input

Hello.
I'm very new to IOS (just got the Iphone last week). I'm using braille screen input and no matter how I try, I can't press all the 6 dots together at the same time. I'm using IOS 16.3

Nobody can. That's just how Braille screen input works. If you need to do this, place 5 fingers on the screen, then lift one finger and then place the sixth finger.

I know, it's a daft limitation of iPhones. The solution is a little awkward to begin with but you soon get used to it.

Me being new to the iPhone and BSI was wondering if I was doing something wrong! I can't help noticing that it works on iPad BSI.

"It's a limitation of the technology on iPhones that means only five touch points on the screen can be detected at once.
My guess is the iPad can detect more of these touch points, which is why 6 or even 8 dot Braille can be input.
