BrailleSense U2 qwerty question

By Maldalain, 22 November, 2021

Braille on Apple Products

Hi
How to navigate the screen and perform mommands using a BrailleSense U2 with a QWERTY keyboard? I know you can not control the device using the qwerty keyboard like pressing H to navigate through headings and so on, so what is the alternative to that?
Thanks!

Can't remember

I have not used a u2 QWERTY in roughly 5 years, so I can't remember if iOS treats it as a full on Bluetooth keyboard or not. If it does, you need to turn Single Letter QuickNav on. To do this, press VO with q. When you are done navigating by whatever element you are interested in, and wish to type for example, you would need to turn Single QuickNav off. If iOS treats it like a half braille display and half QWERTY keyboard, which I believe is the case, then you may not be able to use QuickNav effectively. Good luck.
