Braille and VoiceOver

Hello. I use an iPhone 5 with a Focus 40 Blue display. The other day I did something VoiceOver didn't like and it went away. VoiceOver failed to come back with the three home button command. After various attempts, I took it to the Apple Store because there was nobody with working eyes around. The tech got everything working again; or so I thought. When I got home I found that I had to re-enter my e-mail password and Wireless settings, which I managed to do. Then I attempted to use the focus 40. I found that it was not recognized automatically. When I attempted to turn Braille on, I found no list of drivers, and a message saying "searching" on the iPhone. The other thing was that I was presented with no Braille display choices. My suspicion is that the tech did some kind of reset on the phone, and I must beg forgiveness for the fact that my most recent backup would restore a date just before I updated to the latest version of OS5. Needless to say, I'm being driven nuts with no driver. Has anyone had a similar experience? Joe Fallin

You probably need to reenable braille. It is a bit counter intuitive but this is not done under Bluetooth. Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > VoiceOver > Braille, enable braille and choose the Focus from the list there, which it should appear as long as the Focus display is turned on at the time you enter there. it may ask for a pin, which I believe the Focus just uses the standard 0000.
