Orbit magna magnifiers

Hello, after reading the blazy tech / evolve topic I have a question for our low visions folks there.
Is the orbit magna any good? I've talked about it to some low vision friends who are granted the usual $4000 insanely expensive stuff from RAMQ here in Quebec, desktop cctv and such, and they really seem tempted by it, it's just $cad500 max for the most expensive version and has real HDMI to connect to any screen. This seems to be way too good for what it offers for that price point? According to gemini it's better in every way possible, better screen, portable by design, possibly better software?? I know nothing about it, I only know the blind AT market but always thought nothing can ever justify the cost for the low vision stuff, braille cells are arguably expensive at scale but not basic optics. I mean, beyond the desktop vs portable form factor, I am not saying somebody should read a 400 pages book with the magna.
