After Promising myself I’d only get into coffee if I entirely avoided espresso, one year later, I’m very carefully planning my espresso set up. Since I'm cheap and do not value my time and effort enough to prioritize it, I’ve gone with manual everything. Lever 'espresso machine, hand grinder, all that. As an added benefit, I don't have to mess with touchscreens, stepless dials or the noise of a motor/pump.
That being said I'm a bit stuck on the whole scale/pressure thing, I've got a talking kitchen scale and it is both too low resolution and too slow to respond. I'm looking for something accessible, either out of the box or via app. I'm not sure how pressure could be handled except via sonification but anything is appreciated.
