Hello all,
I will be receiving my new iPhone 7 plus on Thursday and I have some questions. First what is a good way to back up and transfer just my contacts? I want to set the unit up as a new phone rather than restoring from a backup. Secondly what should I do to my old phone before I trade it in? I know i need to unpair my watch from the old phone.
Hi, Following Davids excelent review of the linkbuds which i may get by the way, has anyone tried the linkbuds s? i thought the purpose of them, was to make you aware, not block out noise? thanks for any thoughts. also, how good is the noise canceling say, when on a train, car, etc? assume the "ambient mode" is fine for when on the street?
Hi everyone,
I am new to this forum, but not new when it comes to Apple devices. I have the iPhone xs, Apple watch, iPad pro, and even an Apple tv. I have owned macs before, but am currently in the market for a new one. I just have a few questions, that I am hoping can be answered here.
Hi all,
I'm wondering if anyone has used the life proof case with their iPhone five. I have one, and have been reading reviews, but thus far haven't actually stuck my phone in there. So, because I'm lazy and because I can't possibly be the only one with these questions, I'm posting the following:
1. Have you noticed any difficulty performing touch screen gestures with the life proof case? Some reviewers have complained that the touch screen becomes difficult to interact with while in the case, and I'm wondering how this seems with VoiceOver gestures and with apps like Fleksy.
Hello all!
I recently as in today, just picked up the logitech keyboard and trackpad combo case. I am fully aware that the trackpad doesn't have voiceover support, and my question is about the keyboard only. I am noticing that a lot of the voice over commands like screen curtain and and mute speech don't work, and I can't see the keyboard in the commands section of the accessibility settings so I can add them. I'm really hoping I didn't waste $159 on this case. For refference, I'm using an ipad air fourth generation.
Hi. I just want to get some opinions on the 15 inch MacBook pro with retina display.
That is the new computer I will eventually purchase. I have a broken MacBook air with an extremely small hard drive which failed. I don't want to purchase a new MacBook air because I'm worried that it won't have enough space for me to download xcode, so I will get the macBook Pro with 512 gigabytes of SSD.
Hello all,
I just received a Mi Band I purchased on Amazon because they were only $20. How long does it usually take to fullly charge one of these up? One of the main reasons I purchased it was because of its 3 to 4 weeks of charge as well as its alarm function. Now I just need to get some eyeballs to help me set up my account on the phone due to the verification code that voice over won't read.
This last week. Santa Clause blessed me with an early Christmas present which happened to be a new Logitech K811 bluetooth keyboared. Overall, I am very happy with it. However I am wondering if anyone can help with a question that I've got.
Hello all! I'd like to buy an Iphone 6S or 6S Plus. I know that the 6S plus has a bigger battery and a OIS (optical image stabilisator), and of course the bigger screen. So here my questions:
I just got a set of second jeneration airpods Pro, and have a couple of questions. These are the first airpods I've ever seen, much less owned, so I think I have a lot to learn. It took me a lot longer than it should have to figure out which was the left and which was the right; pretty sure they're not supposed to be interchaingable, so wearing them correctly may take a bit of practice. I heard that there was a firmware update released yesterday, so was hoping to get them fully up to date before I finish getting them set up.
Is anyone else able to use quick-nav single key quick keys in safari, h for headings, b for buttons, ETC. when quick-nav is on in safari? It is a 9.2 inch iPad Pro with the latest IOS update. I've tried it with the Apple smart keyboard, apple wireless keyboard, and a Zagg keyboard, but it doesn't work. I've also tried VO command h, but that does not work either.
Hi, I haven't posted on here in a long time but I just wanted to ask you lovely lot a question:
So, ever since about August I've been having an issue with my battery. Haven't got around to updating to iOS11 yet, so can't be that surely? But what's happening is my battery is draining incredibly quickly - at first I thought it was the counterfeit charger I was using at the time so went back to a normal apple cable.
I'm thinking of making a raised guide to lay over the iPhone screen that will make using the phone keypad quicker and easier. I used to have something like this on a microwave oven back in the 90s, just a sheet of plastic with holes punched out where the numbers were. A sighted person made it for me though.
Does anyone have ideas for materials that would work with the screen, and methods for constructing something like this without having to ask a sighted person for help?

I'm not good at writing reviews, so I'm not going to even try. I just got these delivered an hour ago and am about to dive in. I wanted to start a new thread where I could comment and hopefully others wil to. Questions are welcome.
They cost £329 in the UK. They arrived two days early.
I'm living alone right now, so i will be attempting the unboxing and setup with just my iPhone and Be My Eyes/AI.
I have recently bought a macbook Pro model 2012. It is such a great machine and would never think of going back to Windows again. I could save some money last few months and am thinking of investing in another gadget. here're my questions regarding the investment:
Hello all,
I am going to be switching from AT&T to T-Mobile and I had to order my iPhone7+. I am going to be receiving it this week. I am going to need to trade in my current AT&T iPhone 6+. What should I do to the 6+ before I trade it in to T-Mobile? I have performed an iCloud backup recently of my current phone. When I receive the new phone I think I am going to set it up as a new phone when I get it. What is the best way to get just my contacts back and not all the apps?
After I have seen the event from Apple 2018, I now consider to buying a new iPhone, and replace my iPhone 6.
I am blind, and therefore use the build in screen reader, VoiceOver. Now I am doubts about what iPhone I should buying. I look on iPhone XS, iPhone XR, or the model from 2017, iPhone 8.
As I can see, the iPhone 8 is inexpensive compared to iPhone XR and iPhone XS. The iPhone XR is the model from the 2018-series there is inexpensive compared to iPhone XS, But on the other hand iPhone XR is wider compared to iPhone XS.
Hi all
I am looking for a portable bluetooth speaker with voice prompts for power on/off and connection. I had one that recently quit that had a carabiner which was really handy. It was small enough to fit the palm of my hand. I think the brand was BlackWeb and it came from walmart but can't find it any longer.
Does anybody have any recommendations for a smaller speaker with voice prompts and some sort of belt or carabiner clip? Oh and did I mention not really expensive?
Thanks in advance,
Jim
