VoiceOver Not Announcing Page Changes or Action Button Status on iOS 26.1 Beta on iPhone 16

Apple Beta Releases

Hello everyone,
I'm experiencing a strange and concerning issue on my iPhone 16 after installing the iOS 26.1 beta.
Initially, things seemed fine, but a few days ago, I noticed a significant bug with VoiceOver (VO):
1.
Home Screen Paging Issue: When I use the three-finger swipe gesture to move between pages on the Home Screen, VoiceOver does not announce the page number (e.g., "Page 1," "Page 2"). The screen does change, but the auditory feedback is completely missing.
2.
Action Button Issue: VoiceOver also fails to announce the status when I use the Action button (either a single press or a long press). For instance, when switching between Ring mode and Silent mode, VoiceOver remains silent.
I've tried the usual troubleshooting steps, including:
•
Turning VoiceOver off and back on.
•
Restarting the device.
Neither solution fixed the problem.
This is very strange and makes using the phone difficult. Is anyone else running the iOS 26.1 beta on an iPhone 16 (or similar model) and experiencing these specific VoiceOver announcement issues?
Any insights or potential workarounds would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
