Hi everyone,
I work in user operations at an app development company. We mainly make utility and health apps, and this year we've been putting more effort into making our apps more accessible.
I'm still learning a lot about accessibility, and one thing I've come to realize is that making an app technically support an accessibility feature doesn't necessarily mean it's easy to use in real life. I'd really like to learn from people who use these features every day and hear about their actual experiences.
The app I'd love to get feedback on is Invoice Zip, an iPhone app for creating and managing invoices.
I'd especially love to get feedback on how well the app works with VoiceOver and Voice Control during everyday tasks, such as:
• Finding your way around the app and locating features
• Adding and editing customer information
• Creating an invoice and adding items or services
• Entering quantities, prices, taxes, and discounts
• Reviewing invoice details and totals
• Saving invoices and finding them later
• Editing invoices and updating their status
• Previewing, exporting, and sharing invoices
If anything feels confusing, takes more steps than it should, or is difficult to do independently, I'd really appreciate hearing about it. And if something doesn't work well with VoiceOver or Voice Control, please let me know. Honest feedback is exactly what I'm looking for.
I know accessibility is something you have to keep learning about, and I don't want to make assumptions about what works best for people. Hearing directly from people who use these features every day would help us understand what we can improve.
As a thank you for your time, I'd be happy to offer a membership redemption code to anyone who helps test the app. Just email me at [email protected] if you're interested.
Thanks for reading, and thanks to everyone who takes the time to help developers make their apps more accessible!
