Google Books

More details on these fine things can be found over on https://googlebook.google/ . In Short though, they are the next evolution of Chromebooks with the full Android OS suite. I'd wait a bit till Google themselves improve on those 1.0 growing pains which folks are having first. Such as the folks over at Android Authority , where Hadlee Simons who wrote the above linked article mentions that many pixel users are having trouble pairing their phones to said books at the moment, along with casting issues. NB. Android 17 is required to even pair a phone to a GoogleBook in the first place!

Alexa Plus Tablets

Starting at 229 USD, they have full Android (including the Play Store), Voice View Screen Reader Built-In (though I guess there is no harm tossing on Talk Forward (AppleVis) since it's in the Play Store.

Tablet size & capacity start with 64GB storage with 4GB RAM on the 8-inch model and can go up all the way to 12 inches with 16GB RAM & 256GB storage (depending on the configuration you choose).

BackTalk

Created by Quin Gillespie,

BackTalk (GitHub)

is one of those "Back in the day" Talkback forks, to the point where circle menus are a thing once again (like the Eyes-Free Shell days).

TapType

Created by Aaron GH,

TapType (GitHub) now at 3.0, is similar to the old Flicktype iOS keyboard (not the watch one), and has way more power & customization than what Samsung's Speak Allowed Keyboard (Accessible Android) provides among Galaxy phones.

Soft Braille Keyboard

Created by Daniel Dalton, Soft Braille Keyboard (GitHub) (Now at version 7.0), brings that self-voicing braille keyboard typing to the modern age. And many people swear by this keyboard being the only one they will use for typing on Android!

Shortcut Menu

Created by Aaron GH,

]Shortcut Menu (GitHub)](https://github.com/aaron-gh/shortcut-menu)

(where there is also an Accessible Android Shortcut Menu App Entry , brings VoiceOver's iOS Accessibility Shortcuts menu to all Android phones. Though you may wish to read Kareen Kiwan's comments first before installing.

Third-Party Screen Readers: Are They a Security Risk?

Speaking of Kareen, she wrote a very detailed Accessible Android Opinion Piece on said topic. Probably best to post comments over their than here, since I myself do not know how many Accessible Android/Blind Android Users even gaze upon this site.

That's A Wrap!
