This is an excellent idea. If you search for the word audio, a few titles pop up, most of them Disney movies. The only new movie that I have found so far with audio description is The Martion. I don't have a link to it, but finding it should be simple enough. Hopefully over time, more titles will be added and maybe some day, all new releases will have audio description and it won't just be a pleasant surprise like it is now.

AntMan also has audiodescription, at least here in australia and I believe the US has it as well.

This is a good idea, listing the movies that have description, keep in mind that particular movie may not be described in your country.

The Martian and Home have audio description in the UK, but Non Stop and Antman do not. Happy to see we aren't at zero AD films in the UK but clearly we are still a little behind America and Australia. I contacted apple about this a year or so ago and they said the film companies have control over what content they make available. Although I believe this to be true, I also believe apple themselves have some influence as well obviously

Let me tell you all them Disney movies were only USA as well but with the help of me they are now in the Australian store I can't say how I manage to do that but I did.
If you want to no how I did that read my blog at and scroll down to the post named movies not made accessible in the Australian stores and leave a comment in the website. Apple Reyes to tell me as well its not there doing but I called them a layer good luck contact the accessibility team at Apple about this by email.

Most of todays films are described on Bluray, even the starwars box set is described, only not in the iTunes store.

I say if they can do it for Bluray, why not iTunes?

It's only an extra audio track.

This is for Australia, I can't speak for other countries.

Hello everyone I would like to let you know the Disney movies which are listed in all the movies that I have provided above does not need to be activated through your iPhone as soon as you downloaded movies audio description automatically comes on
But all the other movies you need to go into your iPhone general then go to accessibility and scroll down until you get to audio description and turn it on
And like I said if anyone comes across any AD movies in the ITunes send me the link and I will add them to the rest.not in of a link that

The Revenant is listed with AD for its release. 20th century fox seem to be leading the way with providing AD on itunes

Spy, has AD on the UK iTunes store. This was the first AD movie I've purchased on iTunes.

I've brought a few DVD's over the weekend at HMV with AD. Legend, Birdman, and Life of Pye. Annoyed that the UK iTunes store is still a bit behind.

Keep it up guys...

I have added spy to the list but the other three you said is not showing AUDIO DESCRIPTION on them So people want know to download them if it's not showing AUDIO DESCRIPTION on them
Have you signed my petition yet

How is The Force Awakens on this list? To the best of my knowledge, it hasn't been released for home media yet...has it?

It Says Pre order and it has AUDIO DESCRIPTION on it so I guessing it would be but if not I can easyley remove it.

Ok, that makes sense. Thanks for clarifying. (If TFA had come out and I hadn't known about it, I was going to have to seriously reconsider some life choices, haha...)

Thanks. I deleted my question when I realised the list was on this very page, lol.
It's a good idea.

Hi, this list is great, although not all the films listed have AD in the UK unfortunately. It's a good start but as above would like to see a lot more added in the coming months.

Does anyone know if you have already purchased a film that then has audio description added, if you automatically get this? Presumably you don't have to purchase the movie again...

Hello let me start by saying I'm sorry that these movies do not play in any other country iTunes stores If you keep signing my petition and put that as a comment on the petition to provide these movies in all stores then Apple will see it.
Or I encourage people who are blind or vision impaired in other countries to contact Apple and tell them what you want and you're welcome to use my petition to show them Tell them that a petition has been created showing Apple important it is to bring audio description movies to the iTunes Store
But with in the meantime if you happen to come in across any audio description movies in your own country let me know but the problem is I won't be able to open them on my end Example there is one movie in this list that will not open in the Australian store and that is non-stop I will see if I can list the movies by country if you send me any more

Hi, I purchased Star Wars: The Force Awakens in the UK yesterday and it does not have an AD track :-( although it was advertized as having one when I pre-ordered it.

I am sorry that has happened to you you may want to contact Apple and let them know you have the rights to don't be scared to speak up.
The Star Wars movie you are talking about works fine in Australia I have provided a list of audio description movies on the Apple this website here but they are only in the Australian store only I cannot we take responsibility if they don't play in other stores
Has that been the first movie you have downloaded and have you turned on the Audio description feature on your iPhone under general accessibility then scroll down to audio description and turning it on

Hi the new Star Wars doesn't have AD in the Irish store either.
Before it was released it was advertised as having AD, but it no longer does. Now closed captioning is the only accessibility feature listed.
Pretty disgraceful.
What's the best email address to feed back to Apple about this? I'm not sure if the accessibility address is the right one for this, as they don't take feature requests to the best of my knowledge.

In the UK store I've noticed recently that not only are films being added to the list with AD, but there are some that were on the list previously that are not any more. This is either one of two things I suspect. Either they remove less popular titles if no-one orders them, or there is a bug with the search for audio described titles resulting in only the most recently added films appearing. By which I mean those most recently added with AD, not the most recently released films, as several that have appeared lately are a few years old.

I think it must be an IOS Bug issue.
Because there has been a few times my Iphone6 when using voice over in Safari has been freezing up when voice-over has been on I don't know if this has been happening to other people as well if so contact Apple and let them know and let me know as well.
