VoiceOver will occasionally announce extraneous or wrong punctuation/characters when reading web pages in Safari

Description

In certain circumstances, VoiceOver will wrongly announce punctuation/characters or announce something that simply isn’t part of the text when reading the content of a web page.

Examples noted are announcing a ‘period’ as “dot”, and announcing “quotation mark” at the end of a block of text when one is not actually present.

This only appears to happen if you are arrowing through the page. It doesn’t seem to matter whether QuickNav is enabled or not.
