VoiceOver becomes unresponsive if you go to the page listing contact groups whilst trying to add a new favourite in the Phone app

Description

The short explanation of this problem is that the screen becomes unresponsive to VoiceOver when you attempt to add a new favourite in the Phone app and go to your list of contact groups as part of that process.

So, to check for this you will need to have 1 or more groups setup within your contacts.

Now …

1. Open the Phone app and go to the Favourites tab.
2. Double-tap on the ‘Add’ button.

At this point you should be presented with a list of contacts. What’s displayed will depend upon the groups that you previously had selected. This screen works as expected and you can select and add a favourite from the contacts listed.

However, what we want to do is find a contact which isn’t currently being displayed because of the current group selection.

So …

3. Double-tap on the ‘Groups’ button.
4. You are now shown a list of all of your contact groups. Double-tap on the ‘Done’ button (note that for this problem to present itself it does not matter if you change the selection status of groups or leave things as they are).

Visually, the screen now reverts to displaying a list of contacts based upon the groups that you have selected. However, the only accessible part of the screen is the status bar. You cannot access the list of contacts and have to kill the Phone app via the App Switcher to make it accessible again.
