Version 2.0 of LookTel Money Reader is now available in the iTunes App Store.

LookTel Money Reader instantly recognizes currency and speaks the denomination, enabling people with visual impairments or blindness to quickly and easily identify and count bills. Simply point your iPhone’s camera at a bill and the application will tell you the denomination in real-time.

This version offers support for additional currencies: the Euro, British Pound, and Canadian and Australian dollars.

LookTel have also launched a new blog and mailing list.

The blog will focus on Looktel news, discussion and feedback, whilst the mailing list is open to more general discussion of Looktel products.

#4 can't get this app to work in Australia probably just me

I along with my employees at YesEars have tried this app on just about every IOS device that the app is suppose to work on. The result we have concluded is this app doesn't work as claimed. It doesn't seem to matter what distance to hold the currency away from the device or insuring good lighting for the camera flat surfaces and so on. Maybe other Australian blind people are getting this app to work, personally, as I am totally blind and there is no training in Australia available that I know of for using this app well it was a waste of $12.49 Australian to buy it. But remember, this is only one opinion.

#5 no updates found.

I tried finding the update from the appstore. But I couldn't find any. I'm from India by the way. My currency is already supporting, however.
