This game can be played quite reliably if you pay attention to the Sidekicks notifications. Your sidekick will die if not taken care of. When you open the app in your iPhone it will show highest or lowest stats but won't read your current statistics. You can care for your sidekick on your watch. The app starts with a window with an unlabeled button. You just use force touch to access the actions that are clearly labeled. It's not exactly accessible but kind of works.
