One thing I noticed about this app, at least on the iPad, is that there are actually three pages of controls within the app. You have to use three-finger swipes left or right to access the other two pages. I did not realize this at first, and I thought there were some features that VoiceOver couldn't access, but I eventually figured out what I needed to do to navigate the app.
