Description of App:

Adblock Fast is a free, open-source ad blocker!

Just as webpages grew bloated with ads, so too have ad blockers grown bloated with little-used filtering rules and features that sap their speed and hog
your device’s disk space, CPU cycles, and memory. Adblock Fast runs an optimized ruleset to accelerate pages more but consume less system resources than
other ad blockers do.

Adblock Fast blocks ads in Safari not in other apps. To allow Adblock Fast to block in Safari:

1. press the Home button on your iPhone or iPad,
2. tap the “Settings” app,
3. tap “Safari” > (under “ General”) “Content Blockers”, then
4. toggle the “Adblock Fast” switch on.

To unblock ads, navigate to the “Adblock Fast” app.

To see the effect of Adblock Fast on a particular page, you may have to clear Safari’s cache (tap “Settings” > “Safari” > “Clear History and Website Data”)
before reloading the page.

Accessibility Comments:

Just has one unlabeled button. Everything else is very VoiceOver accessible to use.

VoiceOver Performance:

VoiceOver reads all page elements.

Button Labeling:

Most buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability:

There are some minor accessibility issues with this app, but they are easy to deal with.

Other Comments:

If you are on a budget and don't mind in something that is very simple to use. This is not very fancy to use but does the job. I personally think it does a better job than Crystal for different reasons and plus Crystal is a paid app and this is free.

You may want to give this a look. If you want a more powerful blocker and have more options and features. Be sure to check out Purify instead.

Remember if you need to unblock a site. You will need to go to the ADBlock Fast app and find that unlabeled button. This button will enable or disable the blocking. You can see the status by swiping left from this button.
