Description of App
On ear.ly, don’t just listen to a stream, anyone can join the conversation.
Audio stream live for up to 2 hours of audio with the push of a button with an audience that can comment or even verbally respond in real time. Unlike text, voice gives you the ability to express yourself with the emotions you can’t simply write.
Not interested in talking? No problem, ear.ly loves a good listener. With ear.ly, you don’t just listen to a stream, you can join the conversation.
Listen
ear.ly is a place for people like you who want to talk about their interests and share experiences with like minded people. Here you can speak your mind freely, anonymously or not - it’s your choice. As the speaker, you can choose who can also talk during your stream, so you can share ideas, laugh at jokes, and express yourself in a more authentic way.
Respond
Have an opinion? Join the discussion anywhere, anytime.
Unlike most social media platforms, on earl.ly you are never judged by your looks, age, or beliefs. This is a community where all are encouraged to speak about what they are passionate about. By limiting the platform to voice, users can say what they are feeling without fear of judgement. Have your opinions heard and your emotions felt.
Connect
Build an audience of followers and find other people passionate about what you love.
Ear.ly is a place of warmth, open and welcome to anyone who wants to freely speak their mind, and anyone who cares to listen. It’s a place of reprieve from the cold, unfeeling ocean of cynicism and commerce that social media has become. At ear.ly we believe that meaningful communication needs a proper space -- a home to live and breathe in.
With ear.ly, just hit the button have your voice heard.

When I downloaded this app and went to login, the only thing allowed at this point is facebook login. According to the app store, it's only been around for 3 months, so things should be added eventually.

Facebook login
I really wish that Facebook login wasn't required. I would like to just come on with just a nickname and that's all or at least a password.
Re: Facebook login
Hi. The developer is aware of this, I and others have mentioned it to him and I'm sure they will work on it.
Dabel fun
Hello,
With as fun as this ap is, I am a bit surprised it hasn't received more attension.
It is crazy fun. There is learning, drama, new friends, new frenamies, cooking, showering, making love, making music, and so so much more.
Facebook is the log in right now but that will change.
They are also going to do an adroid version.
But for now you can check out streams as a guest.
You can stream upto two hours have ten thousand listeners and invite speakers to talk in your stream.
My friend and I do a blind walking club stream. Some people review technology, lots of blind folks there but there are sighted as well.
You can share the link to your live stream and past streams I think as well, with other social media.
There is adult content and you must be over 17 .
Come and joy the throng,
A
I'll probably check it out if
I'll probably check it out if they ever add the sign in with apple option.
If that's going to be mandatory with apps in iOS 13, I can wait a few weeks.
Intersting idea, but I much prefer Vorail
I thought people on Vorail were verbose at times, but so many of these streams are very, very long. You could lose yourself for hours in people's "Just because" ramblings. If listening to people stream their every day lives is what you're into though, it's a pretty nice platform for that. Me, I prefer the interactive nature of Vorail. Even if it does at times contain far too much drama.
Just signed up
I just signed up and I'm totally confused on how to use this platform.
response to post 6
i have the app, but i can't use the app because i can't use FB and it requires FB to log in. it would be nice if they had login via twitter or email as an alternavie to those who can't use fb
One of the devs mentioned on
One of the devs mentioned on a Dabel community liive stream, Email log in, is being worked on, as of this message.
I’ll post here, (or someone else who uses the app most likely) when said feature is live and available.
In case folks haven’t heard
In case folks haven’t heard yet, if ‘needded,” ya can now block/unblock people on Dabel. Also, when someone exits a stream, you will be notified in an ‘AIM” (AOL Instant Messenger) style of fashion, that the person has left.
Trying it out
I have just downloaded this app and like others don't really like the FB log-in thing. However it looks like something I might be able to get into.
There is only one review on the app store but I believe the app has been updated since then?
How can I get in touch with "Imagingstuff", they commented above and mentioned a blind walking group, I am part of one too.
Joining a Stream
Quick question, if you join a live stream, is your microphone muted or is it live?
I just joined a live stream, and for now, I'd rather remain muted but wasn't sure whom had that control, is it the creator of the stream or does the user joining the stream have that control ?
Thanks!
When you join a stream the
When you join a stream the only way to speak is if the user adds you to the stream, that is, invites you to speak. So don't worry. You are fine. And if you get an invite and you don't want to speak or join in you can always say no.
RE: When you join a stream
Thanks, glad to hear it. When I first joined a stream, I was moving around my office with my AirPods making noise, so wasn't sure if they were hearing it on their end.
I do plan on checking it out more though, when I have some more time.
They would have told you to
They would have told you to stop it, or what not. Lol! If you want to follow me I'm the usual suspect on there, ke7zum although I don't get on much, I do when I have the time. I plan on getting on maybe when I start going to school again. People loved those as it brought back emmmories of their times. Lol!
I believe the accessibility
Hey there,
I believe the accessibility ratings should be increased a bit, the Dabel team has been making a lot of updates to increase accessibility.
Bento is someone on Dabel who communicates firsthand with the developers, and he's always doing live streams about what we VoiceOver users want changed or different, since he can tell them directly there's a higher chance of it happening.
Right now they know about several bugs, the dictation is broken in chat, plugging / removing headphones causing the appto crash, etc.
I'm not the Editorial Team or anything, but I would move the rating up to the app is fully accessible with voiceOver and is easy to navigate and use, the button labeling to most buttons are clearly labeled, and and the other one to VoiceOver reads all page elements.
HTH!
Dabel 3.0 — Now Available!
Direct from the ‘Apple App Store” release notes:
You can now sign up for Dabel without a Facebook account! In our continuing efforts to the community as open as possible, we've implemented a "Sign in with Apple" button for sign up. If you already have an account, don't worry, you won't have to sign in again. Now when you want to invite your friends to Dabel, your first question can be "when do you want to stream together?" instead of "do you have Facebook?"
Hello! I just downloaded the
Hello! I just downloaded the app and ask this: is it possible to search for streams by language? For example, if I want to search only those in Italian, can I do it? Thank you!
Oh damn! Hopefully language
Oh damn! Hopefully language search will be implemented! I find almost only streams in English.
Accessibility Comments
This app is accessible, however there are a few buttons that are unlabeled. When you push these, it does nothing so it's nothing to worry about.
