Description of App
All relevant events happen in your EARS.
The NEW game from the makers of the award winning game FEER.
Sonar Islands is a MULTIPLAYER ONLINE game, where all relevant events happen in your ears.
On various islands you explore and discover, seek hidden TREASURES and conquer OBSTACLES. Every new island has a special atmosphere and a different gameplay. Do your best to fortify your islands and be clever enough to take the gold from your opponents.
Visit the ancient TEMPLE island, the ancestors built, where snakes are biting and down falling parts may block your way.
Take a trip to the JUNGLE island, watch abandoned lions on your way, but be aware of the tree traps, set up by the natives. You can go up, but there is no coming down.
The FUN FAIR island is a happy place to be. You can shoot toys coming towards you. Some carry a treasure, some carry a bomb, that's the risk.
The VOLCANO island is a chilly place, for some too hot, especially if you step near the lava flows. Ash and stone rain down due to the eruptions of terraforming, raise your shield to protect you.
In the MACHINE HALL you will meet the friendly robots from Feer, but this time you carry a stun gun to short-circuit their brains, at least for a while, till their self-repair is complete.
On PING island you will get a sonar device for orientation, send out a tone and the echo tells you, where to go. That’s good, because you may discover, this island is a labyrinth.
High up on the TREETOP island you have to deal with wind and mosquitos. The wind is really disorientating, leaves are rustling, while the mosquitos chase you. And don't fall, while balancing on the twigs.
On the ELECTRO island you face the invisible power of ELECTRICITY. Tesla coils sparkle round their high voltage, better shoot some metal confetti to divert the current. The nice thing here are catapult plates, they make you fly all over the island. A pity, that you don’t know where you will end up.

I downloaded this game maybe two hours ago and I am loving it.
I am still upgrading my island but, so far, I find the game to be wonderful.
Loving it. Having fun.
Thank you mental home for creating such cool game.
This game is amazing! I definitely recommend it--it's so much fun to explore/upgrade your islands as well as attacking other players. Will definitely be playing this for a long time!
How can i connect my account to game center. Because it says that my account isn’t secure. And that my game is not connected to game center.
You could try going to settings, Game Centre and try to set your nickname?
They said it’s a bug on their end. So it’s fine. They said as long as it says that you’re signed in, you’re good.
I actually have a different username than on game center so hope that won't effect things to much. Love the game. I'm at level 2 in player and most of my stuff is at level 4. This is so cool.
it is one of the game I am looking forward for long time
thanks for the good work.
and keep the good work.
looking forward the new big update.
I hope that next update that we can have a feature that we can spend 5 or 10 diamonds to restore 5 attack
and we can do 2 times or 3 per day
that might be an unfair advantage. I'd say leave it the way it is. It only takes about 2 and a half hours to fill the attack meter to full.
I also really like this game. I'm currently at level 2 with the temple and jungle unlocked. I am pleased we were given the choice of which turning option to use within the game, as I personally found the swiping action a little too slow. I am quite comfortable with the 2-finger option.
Just like it was said before By KE7ZUM. Just leave it the way it is.
What I am wondering is what happens once we have upgraded all traps and treasure chest in the islands.
Will we be able to create new ones?
But, for now, the game is awesome the way it is.
I am enjoying making money and upgrading traps and all those things.
Sonar Islands is a wonderful game.
I already submitted my review and gave it five stars.
And, like I said before, for now, I have a monthly subscription but I will change it to a year subscription ones the month is about to expire.
All I got to say is, watch out for traps.
I am really happy with this game.
In all honesty, I haven't been very successful at raiding islands. LOL.
Enjoy the game. Happy hunting. :-)
that you like our new game. We put a lot of efforts and time in it.
To grow the community bigger, we kindly ask you to rate and review it on Apple App Store. ( and avoid to ask support questions there, there are quicker ways out of the game, we receive directly)
Will you be doing a podcast for this one?
This is an awesome game. I’m loving it so far. I use the router method for turning. That seems to work the best for me. Sometimes my swipe up gesture doesn't seem to work correctly but that could just be user error.
I am not sure if it was in the app directory entry or on the forum about this game, but someone talked about losing progress they had made. I have just experienced a similar problem, I attacked several players and got over 4000 gold from them, so I then tried to start an upgrade on a treasure chest and the game took my gold but didn't start the upgrade. the game is interesting, but i'm just wondering what will be the point of carrying on plaing once we have unlocked all the islands, I mean are there powerups and such, or extra treasure chests we can get for islands, if its literally just a case of grinding away to level up and the amounts needed to level up traps and chests getting bigger and bigger i'm not sure if I will keep this on as a subscription. for now the game is fun, but i'm just not sure what will keep me interested once I've unlocked all the islands and the two traps on each island. I wish it was possible for people to actually position traps on there own islands where they wanted, or maybe even have different traps from different islands, for example lions in the temple, or a volcano in the jungle.
Now, that's a good idea. How about crumbling roofs in the factory? that would be cool to mix things up. Let me tell you, snakes at level 5 are nuts, lions are just nasty. the fair is fun though, I love playing it for comic relief.
Hi dev team:
There is a major bug with reaching 5000 lights. I just reached it; I now have 5004 lights, and while the game reports the number of lights correctly, it states that I'm now in the Moonlight III league instead of the Eternal Light league, and it has my bonus at 150 gold. I also am not listed in the Eternal Light ranking.
I confirmed with an attack that it is giving me 150 gold bonus, same as the 0-300 lights league.
I emailed a bug report using the contact button from within the game and attached a screenshot, so you can see exactly what I am talking about.
How about some island such as the training camp but in addition to the palm trees with coconuts falling we could have some sort of a quicksand spot?
I guess the way for us to know that we're coming kind of close to it would be a bubbling sound.
Now, I know that on the Tree Top island we have mosquitoes but, what if on another island we had bees?
well, I guess that idea is kind of dumb but it is funny at the same time. LOL.
Seriously, though, I guess the quick sand trap would be good.
Well, now that I'm here, let me ask you a question:
What are lights for? What is the purpose of collecting them?
More lights = higher rank = higher money bonus when you successfully raid an island.
I appreciate your answer, my friend.
Right now I only have 130 lights.
It's time to go out to get some more. LOL.
Thanks a lot, Larry.
Have a great day.
Hi, I'm struggling to use the swipe gesture to move left and right and want to change it to router. It says I can change it by going to the main page through settings, however I can't seem to locate settings. where exactly is the main page it's talking about, as I suspect it's not the one with my user name and tutorial, as there is no settings menu there unless it's behind a subscription pay wall. I hope this isn't the case as the navigation is clunky using swipes and don't want to have to pay a month just to see if the router method is easier.
On the tutorial page, you should see four options in the menu below your user information:
About the Islands
To the Islands
If you activate the fourth option, To the Islands, you will then be taken to the main screen of the game, and the menu below your user information will now contain Settings. If you ever want to go back to the tutorial menu, just select "Training Camp" from the main menu.
However, it is possible you cannot get to the main menu or have the "To the Islands" option on the tutorial screen if you don't subscribe; if this is the case, then you will not be able to change the gesture for turning from swipe to rotor. I will tell you that I personally find the rotor method to be by far the most effective, as it allows you to make very quick adjustments while moving very fast. The swipe method of turning is extremely slow and clunky, again, in my personal opinion.
Even if you are not able to test out the rotor turn gesture because the game does not let you access settings until you pay, I would not let this be the only reason you do not subscribe, as the rotor gesture does work well, though it does have a bug where if you release your fingers immediately after twisting, it takes a step forward; you have to keep your fingers on the screen for half a second or so prior to lifting to avoid taking the step forward. It's not that big a deal, but it is something I hope the devs address.
Hope this helps.
Where can I find a log of players who attacked me so that I can get revenge? I am loving the game so far but agree that there must be more to do then just grinding away to level up
There are two ways to revenge an attack:
1. the first time you launch the game after you are attacked, you are informed in a popup that you were attacked, and within this dialog, there is a revenge button that will immediately begin searching and finding an available island that belongs to the person who attacked you.
2. You do not have to revenge when you are presented with the dialog in option 1; you can dismiss it and take revenge later. To do this, from any screen that displays your user info on the top, double tap where it reports your current number of attacks, for example, "5 of 5 attacks". In the screen that comes up, at the very bottom right above the close button, there is a button called "Attack Log". Double click on that to bring up your attack log. You will see a list of your most recent 20 battles. For any in the list that is another player attacking you, you will see a revenge button at the bottom of that battle. Note you can quickly move up and down through the battles by flicking up and down.
A couple things to note regarding revenges:
1. Once you revenge, you cannot revenge again; the "Revenge" button in the attack log turns into text that says "Revenged" and is not activatable.
2. You cannot choose which island to attack to exact revenge. When you tap the Revenge button, you will be presented with one of that player's islands, and there is no button to search for another, like there is for a standard attack. You either take it or leave it.
3. If the player is currently online or is in the process of being attacked by another player, you cannot revenge; the game will present you with a dialog, informing you of this. You will have to try later using the revenge button from the attack log.
Hope this helps.
Once again congratulations, the more I play the more I discover that it is gorgeous! It would be nice, however, when I am warned that I have been attacked, to know which of my islands has been plundered, this to improve the defenses on the islands that suffer the most attacks.
That would be nice, but it could be any of your islands. I have attacked wiht level 6 and 7 stuff, and have been very lucky.
I hope the new update can have Haptic feedback ! when in the gameplay.
it can be more fun...
I found that it has new update on the app store.
just updated it...
This game is very interesting and fun. I'm really enjoying it a lot. It was funny; at first I thought there was no way to play it until I figured out that I have to attack someone else in order to play. I then discovered the ability to test my own islands. Keep up the great work. :-)
I love this game, but I also have an Android phone as well as my iPad, and I want to be able to play Sonar Islands on my phone, but I am not able to find it on Google Play. If yall use Google Play and can find it, can you send the link?
Sonar Islands is currently only available on iOS. The developers do plan on releasing an Android version, but they have indicated via their Twitter feed that this is not happening any time soon, if at all.
No. it is not on android as of yet. I dunno when it will be, give them time, I hope?
How do you deal with the traps in the jungle? Is there no way to avoid them?
The traps do not activate with the first step. If you walk slowly, you will hear the sound that you have stepped on a trap. When you do, you can walk backwards, turn, and go in a different direction to avoid it. Usually the traps will activate with the second or third step. However, sometimes they will not activate at all if you are facing such that you only walk along the edge of the trap. Think of the trap with a circular border. The trap activates when you step in the middle, so as long as you are trodding along the perimeter, you'll be fine. Unfortunately, if you are a fast walker, it is very hard to avoid the traps, as you have to have an incredibly quick reaction time the instant you hear the sound that you stepped on the edge of a trap.
Hope this helps.
Yeah I really need to practice, a lot. I suck at the jungle, am good at the valcanos and the fair and temple, except for those darned snakes lol!
