#1 Confusion about the name, but app works well

Hi! Having read the description of this app, I realised I'd installed it in the past, when it was known as Song Guru, in fact the app description above still calls it Music Quiz Guru, and it shows up as Song Guru now that I've installed it on my iPhone 6, after having it on my 4S a year ago. I hope that new users of this app won't have too much trouble finding it. Definitely a good game, though: I uninstalled it last year because it had stopped working under IOS 7, but it works brilliantly again under IOS 8.3.

I installed this app just now, and there doesn't seem to be a play button anywhere. I chose to play without game center, and it just doesn't seem to want to play. As in, I can't find a play button anywhere.

I can definitely see how that would be confusing for you. You start the game by clicking on either the song, artist, or playlist button, depending on whether you want to guess the song title, artist name, or album the song is on. Hope that helps. :-)

That's what I first assumed, but when I did, nothing happened. Additionally, I got stuck in the ad screens and couldn't read anything there. When I double tapped, I ended up in the app store for whatever app was being advertised. I'd go back to the Song Guru app again, and five seconds later the same thing would happen. I'm sorry if I sound snappish, but I'm very frustrated and baffled. I really do appreciate the help, it's just a weird night.

That's really strange. I haven't had any problem with it at all. Maybe it has something to do with the version of iOS you're running. Have you updated to 8.3 yet?

I replaced my phone a couple weeks ago, and they updated the OS for me at the store. I tend to wait until I'm sure about upgrading, but oh well.

I can't get this game to work either. I am using IOS9 and I have an iPhone 6S
