the game is accessible, the developer is the same developer who created crafting kingdom. However there are some major accessibility issues in this release. this is the first release that introduces accessibility, and they do state its a beta. some issues that I have identified include focus being incredibly unreliable when navigating settings, the game map, and the research screens it moves to the wrong object frequently when flicking. this happens with both VoiceOver and the built in accessibility mode. With VoiceOver important information is often interrupted. if you want to watch adverts to get rewards such as energy sells, this isn't accessible, its impossible to close out of the adverts after watching. other screens with issues include the warehouse, if you go in there accidentally and don't want to or can't connect to a building you can't get out of the connection screen. this feels very rough accessibility, and really I think needed more private testing by beta testers before release.
I also encountered another bug where I got my reward for completing the first sector, but then I tried to use it and VoiceOver stopped reading stuff in the game when I tried to use it, so I had to quit and restart it, and at that point I lost my reward. A final major problem is that timers seem to stop running if you lock your phone or leave the app, which means its just not practical to do longer research tasks of 3 or 4 hours, how this bug hasn't been noticed before now i'm not sure. even though the game obviously has major issues at the moment in terms of accessibility, if you like resource management games this is going to give you hours and hours of fun. the developer was really good about crafting kingdom accessibility, so I think we really should engage constructively with them, I have already sent some initial positive feedback.

So I assume your not experiencing the issues with research and timers on your end? I assume no research is supposed to take several thousand hours at least according to VoiceOver and also for me the first research project in the list without VoiceOver showed as taking about 24 hours, but in the previous beta it was only going to take 15 minutes. so I don't know if the lengths of time for research are even accurate, as VoiceOver reports different information to the non VoiceOver accessibility mode, and given that this version now shows different times to the previous version. If it would help to look at my save I can of course let you have my player ID.
I am currently using an iPhone 7 Plus with the latest iOS version, and I am experiencing the issue with the research timer not working when the game is closed. at first when the last update came out, it seem to be working, but then I checked and it told me something like I had over 1000 hours of research to go, and then it crashed. Now, if I close the game, it stops and the research timer resets itself, and if I watch ads to activate boosts, in many cases, the research timer also resets itself. Right now, I have a four hour research for lower cost of the or extractor, but I can't complete it, and the option to stop the research doesn't seem to work either. also, if it should be possible to complete multiple research simultaneously, that feature doesn't work either. Come to think of it, when I check the settings menu for the game, the research section doesn't have any content there. It only shows me the back button but there is no information or explanation as to how that section of the game works. And speaking of boosts, The timer doesn't work correctly when using voice over. It doesn't indicate that the timer is counting down, but it is, in fact, counting down, because it shows The duration time if you close the app or go to the settings menu and come back to the game.
Another problem that I have is that I am not able to watch advertisements in the shop to gain energy cells. I can watch ads to activate boosts, but not the ones for energy cells
Thank you both for posting this additional information, I wasn't aware that the VoiceOver and non-VoiceOver times were even different. They obviously shouldn't be, and this gives me something where I can at least start looking.
Alex, I will try figuring this out on my end first, but I might come back and take you up on the offer of looking into your save game.

Does the ad play but not award you the cells afterwards - or does the ad not even play? Or is the button disabled?
Hi Michelle, regarding research both VoiceOver and accessibility now seem to be showing the same information for some reason though they have shown different sometimes. but what I have noticed is that if i'm just hhighlighting the icon that says research it will show something like 8 hours, but when I actually go into the list of tasks and highlight the active project within the research window then i'm shown it as taking several thousand hours.
the timer issue doesn't affect only research it affects all timers in the game, basically your colonies are paused if your not in the game you earn no money nothing changes till you return to the game. so the research issues is a symptom of bigger problems with timers. Also regarding the robotic centre there is another issue with it where the select product option doesn't read with either VoiceOver or accessibility when flicking around, when I have got into the product select window its more by luck than intention, and information in the window reads differently compared to other buildings.
for those talking about wanting to shut down buildings you can do if you select the option tha tsays status and then number of workers, this is an option where you can change your worker assignment or shut down the building entirely. I know its not immediately obvious as this control isn't identified as a button. layout accessibility is the biggest problem not being able to accurately site buildings where we want, for example I tried to put up a warehouse near my gas collector to make batteries and it looks like the warehouse is spacially not near to the collector to let me connect to it. i'm wishing I could reallocate skill points to extend connection range. I don't get why flicking doesn't move you to the next nearest space to a building, so the space seems to be near the collector as its one flick to take me to it but if I can't connect to it, it looks like the reality isn't what VoiceOver is reporting.
When I get into the shop and double tap the button to watch the advertisement, nothing happens. I hear the game sound, but the ad doesn't play at all. Even when I turn off voiceover, the Ad still doesn't play.
Yeah, you can shut the building down, but I think people are mainly asking for an option to resell buildings if they no longer want them to gain some extra cash
I confirm this issue about watching energy sell ads, same as above. it works the first time after you install the game but not after that.
Actually,in my case, my timers run when the app is not on, when my phone is locked and more. I've seen people having that issue though on discord, but I am not one of them.
hmm well wonder if it could be an issue with the type of phone, i'm running on an 11 pro max 512 mb.
I've seen the adds not working, it works the first time, then not again afterwords. Not sure if I reported that on the discord or not.

Had a problem on my [phone & had to reinstall the game. The inventory is still showing all the items I gained in the previous game. How can I reset it back to zero
I have found an issue that makes the sell products thing in the colony base. Everything jumps around like crazy, not like other places, and no matter if I press sell all or half it only sells one.
It's a bug. It's already ben reported in their discord.
did you want to reset your inventory entirely? The game server tries to prevent this, so that people don't lose anything that they potentially paid money for. Since your can buy energy cells and research boosters etc with real hard money as well, it would feel very unfair to lose that all just because you reinstalled the game.
That said, if you want, I can clear your inventory on the game server manually. If so, please send me a PM with your player id, which can be found in the game's settings under account.
We're currently looking into all of the reported bugs. We just discovered that the Watch-Ad button in the shop isn't fully accessible. It is only possible to watch an ad once per hour. After an ad has been watched, a timer starts. But the timer isn't read out in the label of the Watch-Ad button. So for VoiceOver it seems like the button simply doesn't work.
I have found another timer bug, this is that in the character menu there is something called claim reward, which correct me if I am wrong but allows you to claim different rewards after a certain number of days have elapsed? anyway for me at least this day counter is always on day 0 and never increases, your timer code seems to be really buggy but i'm still enjoying the game.
That issue I don't have. I can claim all rewards etc. I know some of us are having the issue and most of us are not. Now to figure out why, what are each of us doing differently per the steps of torubleshooting.
I'm also not experiencing any issue with collecting daily rewards. I collect rewards every day and for leveling up

While playing around in an astroid field with accessibility mode disabled, I did something that broke my energy cells. The game reports I have over 4 billion of them, but I can't spend any of them. Would it be possible to reset just my energy cells? I can email you my player ID if that's what you need. I also have a question about tradeports. Is there a secret to getting them to work? I connected a warehouse and delivered all the products it wanted, but when I tap deliver, I am taken back to the planet screen. Anything else I can try? Thanks for a great game! I'm totally hooked, and I've just got my mother playing as well. She's hooked now, too! Keep up the great work!
Sorry for the double post, but I wanted to report that I now have only two energy cells, and now I am able to spend them again! My colony ship is about to get an update! Thank you so much!

I am at level 4 and on a planet where chrystals are rare. I found out that a region must tell you that it has chrystals before you can extract them. I am not finding chrystals so far. Perhaps it is user error. Is it possible to go back to some other point in the game? Maybe I accidentally put something over a chrystal region.
It looks to me as though rather than flicking, you may want to also try dragging your finger over the screen. This seems to give an idea of how things are located. I think they are in a rectangular grid. I also think flicking takes you, for example, across the top row, then, when you get to the end of that row, to the first tile on the left end of the second row. I’ll see if I can find a way to verify this. I’m unsure of the dimensions of the grid, or if the grid scrolls to show more rows.
I know where you are. Just keep going back through the space map and going in to the planet. You will find crystles soon enough.
No, it's not a rectangular grid. Each of the spaces as indicated earlier is a hecsigon..
Your inventory has been reset. I left the Energy Cell count untouched, because I figured you did not want to get rid of those!

We've just created a new game update and are pushing it into Testflight for beta testing tomorrow. It includes what is hopefully a fix for the timer issues. I say hopefully, because we have not been able to reproduce this bug even once on any of our test devices - and what's making it more complicated is that it only seems to happen when accessibility is turned on. Based on reports that this timer issue is fairly new, I reverted a change to the timer code that was made recently, in the hopes that this was at fault.
For those of you in the TestFlight group, please allow 1-3 days before the new build is available.
Asteroid fields are now accessible as well in the new version!
I've received a support request recently saying that sound effects are cutting out in the game. It's another issue that I cannot reproduce and I wanted to ask if anyone here has had sound issues? Specifically, it was mentioned that the sounds of the space ship suddenly stops when travelling.

I don't think I've ben having issue sof audio cutting out such as the space ship? I'm not using voiceover bu the voice built into the app, so I have no idea if that will help you or not.

Just to clarify, after an advertisement video, after returning to the game, the sounds start cutting out?
I believe I am experiencing the problem you were talking about, so maybe I can help. It seems to me that the problem is mostly when voiceover is being used. I don’t know for sure, whether it’s true all the time, but this is been my experience. Because of that, and how nicely the built in voice behaves, I tend not to use voice over in the game. I am retired, and I have enough time on my hands to be hopelessly addicted to this game, so if I can help, feel free to let me know! I love this game!
Hi, I have found a reliable way to make the sounds cut off permanently for the duration of a game session unless I restart the app, by restart I mean actually quitting it from the app switcher and relaunching it.
so the method I found that achieves this, is to be listening to an audio stream from another app such as bbc sounds, if i'm doing this and just playing the game sounds work completely as expected. But if i'm listening to a stream from bbc sounds, playing the game then I decide to activate a boost when I do this playing the boost advert interrupts the sound from the other streaming app such as bbc sounds, the advert finishes. at this point the stream that was paused is resumed but from this moment on in game sounds from galactic colonies completely stop working unless I force quit and restart the app.
I too cannot wait for the update. I just got the second class of ship, which is way dool and am now doing 2 missions at once.
Hi, the update is out, but bad news is it doesn't seem to have resolved the timer issues for me.
as a test I set the boosts running to give me cash every minute, then I put my phone on the home screen and locked it and went away to do something else. When I came back my cash amount hadn't increased at all from where it was when I locked my phone.
also, research still seems completely messed up, as said before outside of the research window i'm told things like it has 9 hours to run for the first project in the list, but if I actually tap on the research option and highlight where VoiceOver says active research project and gives the time, i'm told it has 2601 hours to run.
the game has had timer issues ever since I was playing the game for me, and that was when the first accessibility beta was released.
On the plus side the asteroid fields are accessible, and they are quite fun to play, but I think the explanation text needs to be a bit more helpful to explain how they work, as I quickly worked it out, but I think other people might struggle especially as all it says is drag your finger over the screen to find an asteroid and that you complete the field once they are destroyed, it took me a while to find the tone that you have to home in on and listen for the increasing pitch to find the asteroid. but its great they are now accessible, I want to have some more to do. also, I never got a notification from testflight that a new beta was available, was it just decided to release this withut testing or did apple hold the beta up?
I just observed something else, if I go to the space map this also pauses the boost timers and I no longer get money till I actually reopen my active colony.

The research timers are still broken on my end, and the boost timers stop working when I go back to the main menu or when I close the app. Also regarding research, sometimes it seems as if multiple projects are running at the same time because I was trying to complete a 30 minute research for low cost of commercial complexes, but the timers were also running for the hospital, lower cost for warehouses, and other projects from different categories in the research tab. once an item can be researched, when you start a research project, all the available research projects starts counting down.
Also, the "sell all" button for The general warehouse overview does not work either.

I never received the TestFlight beta I still have the version that expires July 14.
unfortunately when you are running a testflight build you never get notified about appstore updates, so to get the latest version go to the appstore and reinstall from there. It is worth it, but I have had a few crashes where the game has exited and thrown me back to the home screen.
The game has been working fine for me so far, but for some reason I can't leave the research center. When I look arround, all I find are other projects and no way out. Any ideas? What am I doing wrong?

So I just downloaded the latest version from the App Store. My question is, do I need to find the old version and remove it, or will this new one override that one? Also when I hold my finger down on an astroid field the sound place, but I don’t notice anything happening, do I need to hold down my finger for longer? One thing that I am going to try, is to turn off voiceover in have the endgame speech talking and see if that resolves the issue.
I also have the update and love it. No issues with the timers. Those who are having the issues, please send the dev via email. your sys diag files. The medior game is fun to. I got some awesome rewards through that mini game.
i'm fed up though with not having an accurate idea of where buildings are in relation to each other in my colony, when you first start out its not a problem, but when you have big missions to complete like needing 1090 colonists it becomes a huge issue. I frequently build things and find I have stuck them in the middle of nowhere because of not having the contextual information I need. i'm now at a stage where its costing me about 50000 to explore, and over 60000 to put up most buildings, and that's no joke if you find you are wasting money putting things up which you think are next to each other because of the way accessibility works but they are not. literally I think the current colony i'm in is unwinnable at the moment, I've been working on this for several days off and on, plus put a load of upgrade kits into it so not happy. much as I like the game, I guess the issue is that there trying to retro fit accessibility to a concept originally designed for sighted players. I know the issue is that the tiles are not square which doesn't help. don't give up on accessibility improvements, I guess i'm just disheartened and irritated because of all the effort I've put in and my colony has turned into a mess through no fault of my own. I had a very clear vision of how I wanted it to be and its not like that. the issue is also building numbers change as the colony expands and as it dynamically alters to add in new space. I also find it hard to keep track of what buildings are connected to each other its hard to review this information.
I've recently had a problem where the capacity of the living quarters went down from 38 to 12. What determins the capacity of the living quarters, is it about what buildings you put it clos to? Why are some at 50 capacity and some at 38? And I am talking about the capacity, not the number of colonists in the building.
Do not put factories etc next to the apartments. You can put farms and parks but that's about it.
