Accessibility Comments

AppleVis Editorial Team Note: The accessibility of this app has changed to reflect on the new comments below. If you think that this rating is incorrect please feel free to leave comments and we will make any changes based on your findings. Original Poster Comments: This app works wonderfully with VoiceOver. Sometimes though, when adds are shown there is a cancel button and other times you have to close and reopen the app and the add will go away. Also, I recomend putting the voiceover focus on the record button, doing a three finger double tap to turn speech off, and then double tapping the screen to start recording. Turning the speech off will prevent the phone from recording anything VoiceOver may say after you double tap the record button.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads all page elements.

Button Labeling

All buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

The app is fully accessible with VoiceOver and is easy to navigate and use.

Other Comments

There is a save button on the screen after you record, but when I double tap it nothing on the screen changes and it doesn't seem to save my recording.

Yes, I believe the free version you can't Save any of your creations. There was something else but I can't seem to remember but it may involve that you can't share your results either. I have the Paid version and everything works as advertised. It is also very friendly with Voice Over.

Yeah but they got rid of my two favorite voices, higher and lower which had good formant alteration. I used those exclusively and now I can't find them.

Hi! I got the free version of Voice Changer Plus yesterday, and, after experimenting with it this morning, I can definitely say that it is a fun app. However, I thought I'd give you a useful tip. If you do your recordings in this app with headphones on, you won't have to mute speech to do them: this is what I did when I tested the app, and, although the microphone picked up my double-tap at the end of each recording, that's better than getting bits of VoiceOver in recordings, in fact with some of the effects even a double-tap can sound a bit interesting. Just thought I'd share that with you!

Few of the voices have returned! Ken had mentioned above in how much he hated to see some of his favorite voices disappear. Well, worry no more Ken. They are back. ;)
