Answer: When you're on a call and you want to record it, open TapeACall Pro and press the record button. We will put your call on hold and dial our recording line. As soon as our line answers tap the merge button on your screen to create a 3-way call between your other caller and our recording line. If you want to record an outgoing call, just press the record button. The app will dial our recording line and will begin recording as soon as our line answers. Once that happens, tap the add call button on your screen, call the person you want to record, then press the merge button when they answer. Question: Can I download recordings to my computer? Answer: Yes, and we've made it extremely easy to do this. From inside the app you can attach the recording to an e-mail and send it to yourself as an MP3 file, or you can click the share button and find a short URL that you can type into your computer's browser. Question: How many recordings can I make? Answer: As many as you want! We don't have a limit on the number of recordings you can make. Question: How long can a recording be? Answer: As long as you want! We don't have a limit on how long your recording can be. You can record for hours if you want. Question: Are there any additional fees? Answer: We do NOT charge you any additional fees. Please keep in mind that 3-way calling will use your airtime minutes. Also, carriers outside the USA may charge for long distance calls, so be sure to check if TapeACall Pro is long distance for you. If it is, you may be able to get around this by adding TapeACall Pro's access number as one of your ‘Fav’ numbers so you can call it without additional airtime usage or carriers fees. If we don't have an access number that is considered local by your carrier, please contact us and we'll try to get one for you!

Device(s) App Was Tested On
NOTE: I sent an e-mail to the developers in regards to the following information. If and when accessibility improves, I will revise my ratings. There are two buttons on the main interface. The first has a nonsense label that when activated opens the app store to another app. Considering I paid for this app, I am vehemently against advertising of any kind. The second button opens the Settings screen and the first two items although are read by VoiceOver have no control information available. This to me is not right either and this in itself makes the interface annoying to navigate.
VoiceOver reads most page elements.
Most buttons are clearly labeled.
There are some accessibility issues with this app, but it can still be used if you are willing to tolerate these issues and learn how to work around them.
I have not yet tested this app as I have not thus far needed to record anything worth using at a later date. However, I will do this if ever, for instance, I codify a verbal contract. I strongly suggest you disable the beep tones clearly accessible on the Settings screen. This is purely choice and not required to be set either way.

Please be sure to update this entry as soon as you’ve had an opportunity to test whether recording of calls and the playback of those recordings is accessible with VoiceOver, as you really need to know this before you can give a meaningful Usability Rating for this app. In the meantime, we’ve taken the liberty of lowering the Rating because of the problems that you have already identified.
