Are thee any accessible apps that automatically convert from your time zone to UTC/GMT time? I've looked for something like this on the built-in clock app, but am unable to find a way to do it.
Hi Misty,
Try the Zulu Time app by Derek Spears. Here's the app store URL:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/zulu-time/id377289826?mt=8
The default Zulu Time view shows the UTC time (Zulu Time) in the top half of the screen, and the local time in the bottom half of the screen. You can also change the view to input an offset time in the second of 3 tab views. The offset Zulu times and local times get displayed at the top of the screen, followed by the time offset (double tapping brings up a picker item), and listings of the current Zulu time and local time. The third of 3 tab views lets you show multiple zones, with Zulu Time, Local Time, and another selected time zone. On an iPad you can configure this to display a number of other selected customized time zones. Price is $0.99. App has a 5 star rating and is accessible.
I'm not sure if this is what you're after, but you can just go to google and type into the search field time:name of the city you wish to know the time to.
I just tested it to find out if it works for GMT and it does.
So for example you want to find out the current time in GMT you would simply type time:gmt.
I don't know if this will work on an iOS device, there's no reason why it shouldn't.
There is no need for a separate app for this. Using the built-in clock, you go to "add". Either there is a list of choices, or you can type UTC, I don't recall which, and that time will be added to your favorites.
