I am a fully sighted person trying to set up an iPhone 8 Plus for a fully blind person.
I have not been able to find any online resources for a step-by-step guide to setting up an iPhone for a fully blind user who has never used a smart phone or been on the Internet.
Does anyone have any recommendations or links for such a resource? Thanks in advance

Setting up iPhone for Blind User
Hello:
The most important things to do are (1) turn on VoiceOver, (2) modify the Accessibility Shortcut so that a tripple tap of the Home Button (assuming there is one) or the Side button (definitely in the iPhone X and above) will toggle VoiceOver on/off. Other than that, there is not much else that needs to be done up front.
AppleVis has a great content
AppleVis has a great content that you can refer to and rely on to set up the iPhone.

I've seen a couple of videos…
I've seen a couple of videos on YouTube that were very good.
Sighted verses blind setup
Since the iPhone eight plus has a home button, you want to go to settings then accessibility and voice over. turn it on, and swipe right to accept the change in gestures. Now that it's talking, you will have to do things like doubple tap on the screen when your finger lands on something. After it is talking, you can swipe with one finger to the practice area. Then you can get familiar with the double tap, to activate something, touch, to know what's underneath your finger, how to type etc. Hope some of this helps. and the accessibility shortcut should be turned on. there used to be a game I forget what it was, but the user would be taught by cute little mini games how to swipe, double tap and explore by touch.
I think the game you are thinking of is Zany Touch.
As far as I know, it's still around, and I wish I'd had it when I was first learning.
Not that one
It was something different. It was made by I think look tell or something.
Thanks
Thanks to everybody who replied, especially Curtis Chong, Maldalain & Siobhan
