I don't know if it's just me or if it's voiceover, but for some unknown reason, I can't seem to be able to end a video call using facebook messenger.
As I flick left and right, all I get is that bong sound that indicates the end of the screen.
The only thing voiceover sees is the status bar at the top.
I don't know if it's messenger or if this happens whenever you're in a video call.
I end up either force quitting the app or just resetting the springboard just to hang up quickly.
Magic tap doesn't work, or I'd use that.
Any tips would be appreciated.

Have you tried tapping on the blank area of the screen, then seeing if the controls are at the bottom?
thanks, I'l try that
I'll give that a try next time I'm in a call.
That works when watching a video so here's hoping it'll work for this.
I don't normally make many video calls with FB messenger, but it'll be handy to know for next time.

Yeah, let us know, as I have never made nor answered a call on facebook before. I know I know, I'm behind the times. Lol!
finally found a workaround
Well after many months, I used facebook messenger to make a call.
This time, I manage to hang up the call without rebooting the springboard.
It's not really a perfect solution, but it works, so what you do is exit to the home screen with the home button, then go back into the app.
You won't have much time to find the hang up button towards the bottom of the screen so you'll have to be quick.
I tend to do this when saying my goodbyes, apparently voiceover isn't able to be heard at the other end, wonder how they do that?
Anyway, it works, and if anyone has a better work around, feel free to leave a comment.
