I am a new hearing aid user, and all my interface with media is through the bluetooth connectivity to the hearing aids. My problem is tha the quality of the sounc is so poor that my listening experience with an audio book is severley degraded, let alone music.
Is anyone else having these problems, and does anyone have suggestions.
My hearing aids are Jabra Pro from Costco.

Quality
Hi,
Are you saying you have experienced a downgrade in quality from iOS 15 to iOS 16?
Or just the hearing aids in general?
I have not observed a change in quality using mFI aids from iOS 15 to 16.
If you have observed a change in quality from one version to the next I'd suggest: 1) try forgetting and then re-pairing the aids to the phone. 2) Investigate if the aids have a firmware update available.
If you are just not satisfied with the quality overall from day one, I'd suggest visiting your audiologist/hearing aid vendor and asking them if they can customize the streaming program on the aids.
Things you can do
Hi. My hearing aids are from Cost Co, too. They are made by ReSound.
The audiologists at Cost Co are very good at being helpful and making adjustments. If your hearing aids allow for different settings, your audiologist can create a setting specifically designed to help you better hear books and music.
My own hearing aids have a setting designed for listening to high fidelity music. I use that setting for reading books, too. It works fine.
Another thing you can do is in your IOS settings where you can change the EQ. It may be in settings>sound. I don't remember. Anyway, wherever it is, you can set it to optimize EQ for human voice, or for a particular type of music, e.g., classical.
Hope this helps.
Good luck!
Bruce
You can go to a different Costco
If you don't like your audiologist, or feel they just aren't helpful, you can just go to a different Costco. Your configuration is in a national database.
I discovered this when I was traveling and my aid broke.
My local audiologist is asian and I really struggle to understand his accent when I'm not wearing my aids and will probably switch to a different costco as my hearing gets worse.
