Xcode, Allegro, and Voiceover

Hello,
I am in a University course that requires me to use Allegro. I have downloaded it and I have read online that it will work with Xcode, but I haven't been able to figure out how to get it to work with my project. Backing up a bit, I also need help with Xcode 12.5.1 with voiceover because I have created a project but am not sure on some settings/where to find them/just getting my project started. My course has sample programs to run with Allegro but I just need a bit of a hand getting Allegro and Xcode working together and getting my project started correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I know that this is kind of a two part question. And I have looked online for the solution to this but everything I have found has been for older versions of Xcode and the settings in the old version aren't in the same location as they are now.
