Accessibility Comments:

While this app is mostly accessible overall, the new notifications layout (rolling out to users starting in April 2015) is unusable in a meaningful way. Upon opening the Notifications tab, users who have the new layout will encounter at least two different items whose help tag is, "Double tap with two fingers to interact." Double-tapping with two fingers does nothing, however, and it does not appear to be possible for users to view their notifications (recent likes on a status, for example.) The fact that such an essential feature is broken is disappointing...at best. Thankfully, Facebook's accessibility team has reported on Twitter that a fix is in the works.

VoiceOver Performance:

VoiceOver reads most page elements.

Button Labeling:

Most buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability:

There are some accessibility issues with this app, but it can still be used if you are willing to tolerate these issues and learn how to work around them.
