Original Comments: This was very disappointing.

VoiceOver reads very few page elements, and it is impossible to access any actual information with VoiceOver enabled. The best you can manage is a search, but VoiceOver will not read the list of search results. As a test, I disabled VoiceOVer and clicked on one of the search results. I then enabled VoiceOver to see if it would read the actual page for that entry. It would not.

So, in short, don't waste a download on this.

Most buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

There are some minor accessibility issues with this app, but they are easy to deal with.

I got all excited when the release notes for the latest update said:

<begin quote>we've fixed most known bugs and optimized the app's performance.<end quote>

WooHoo, think I! Finally, after all the waiting and emails, they have made it accessible. But no, it's just as inaccessible as ever. A few unlabelled buttons and an occasional header is about all that VoiceOver will find in this app.

#2 Much improved accessibility

The latest update (version 2.2) specifically mentions accessibility in the release notes, and the good news is that most of the app is now fully accessibille with VoiceOver.

Some of the button labelling could still be improved and you will probably need to spend some time familiarizing yourself with the interface, but it is finally possible to explore iMDb through this app.
