Heading Level 2 4. Trouble-shooting.

Q: I don't have Internet access when I installed or uninstalled the VPN Profile. What should I do. A: Try turning off and on your Wi-Fie in your Wi-fie Settings. If that doesn't work, restart your device by holding down the sleep and home button for ten seconds and releasing it. The device will be restarted. You should now have Internet access. Q: I can't turn off the VPN. For example, I went to Settings and turn off the VPN, and then suddenly, it is on again. A: Make sure you have Connect On Demand turned off. To do this, go to Settings, General, scroll down to VPN, double-tap on more info, look for the connect on demand option and double-tap on it. VoiceOver should say, "Connect On Demand, Off." Q: I get a error message when I turn on the VPN. What should I do. A: Turn airplane mode on and off, try turning off and on the Wi-Fie, restart your device if possible. Q: There was a VPN On in the status bar, and now it is missing. What should I do? A: Go to Settings to check if the VPN switch is on. If it says VPN, off, you may have turned off the connect on demand option in the VPN Settings. To turn the connect on demand back on, if you are in the Settings, double-tap on General, scroll down to VPN, double-tap on it, double-tap on More Info, look for the option that says Connect on demand. If the switch is off, double-tap on it to turn it on. When the connect on demand is enabled, the VPN will stay on until you decide to turn it off.

Unfortunately, this didn't work for me

I tried this app, and after following the above directions every time I set the VPN switch button to on, I get an authentication failed message, followed by an OK button. Luckily I still have internet access through Wi-Fi, so that's good. Note after checking, I now realize that I forgot to delete my personal information the first time I tried to do this. I tried after re-installing the app, but when I double-tap on the delete personal information button, I get the same authentication failed message. I even tried deleting both the app and the profile and re-installing them both, but I still get the same error message. Hope someone can sort this out.

Questions

What iOs device are you using? What iOs version are you on? Did you restart your iOs device by pressing and holding the sleep/home button after installing the VPN Profile?

haven't tried that, but certainly will

I'm running iOS 8.4 on an iPhone 6. Sorry, forgot to mention that before. I've since deleted both the app and the profile from my phone but will try your suggestion soon, and i'll report back with my findings. Thanks!

You are Welcome!
