Warning message during HoF voting

Did the sane and was told I already voted. Did not. Hope this is fix ASAP. How can someone vote if you are not able.

I experienced the same thing yesterday when attempting to cast my vote. Probably a glitch of some kind, which needs to be fixed. I have another question about the Hall of Fame but I will post it elsewhere on the site.

I have also been told I have already cast my vote.
when I pressed the close button to close the error message, I was then thanked for voting and told my vote had been submitted. I am now confused. has my vote been submitted or not?

I can confirm that the votes of everybody in this thread were successfully submitted.

My assumption is that any confusion comes from how this is confirm on the site.

After casting your vote the page reloads with a confirmation message thanking you for your vote and confirming that it has been successfully submitted. This message is above the page title with a heading level of 2.

Further down the page, the voting form itself is removed and replaced with a dialog stating that you have already voted.

To avoid further possible confusion, I will change the behaviour of the form so that the confirmation message is displayed on a separate page.

Well I wrote Weather Gods hope that is in my vote. I did not pick from the list.

Yes Holger, your vote for Weather Gods was registered.
However Weather Gods has already been inducted in to the Hall of Fame, so cannot be inducted again.

Getting a list and not having the chance to vote for whoever you want is not selecting the one is best and saying your vote does not count.
