Suggestion for AppleVis emailing

I have a little suggestion that they could do with the appleVis site. If someone replies to something you've posted or subscribed to E.g. Comments, at the bottom of the email you recieve, it says something along the lines of "this is an automated message. Please do not reply to the sender address". Why not have it so you can reply to the email you recieve from appleVis and it will post whatever you've put in the email as a comment in your name? I know a few mailing lists that work this way and it does make replying to comments easier.

This is actually something that we have looked into, but unfortunately there are a number of technical limitations that currently do not make it possible. There could also be significant implications for administering content and preventing spam from getting onto the site. So, although the idea certainly has some appeal, I'm afraid that it's sitting on a back burner for the time being.
