Hello Burak, As AppleVis receives a certain amount of spam, removing our spam filters is simply not possible. While this solution is probably not what you're wanting to hear, the best thing I can really suggest is to press the enter button only once. If your posts are being flagged as spam, they are getting through to the servers multiple times. So, even if the page doesn't refresh when you press the enter button, it is entirely possible that your message has been successfully posted. If in doubt, you can always open up a new browser tab, pull up AppleVis, and check the item you commented on to see if your post went through.

Hi. When you post something multiple times, it gets flagged as spam, then someone has to go ina nd decide if it is or is not. I don't see the harm in clicking once, then even with slow Net waiting to see if it comes up. Either open another tab, or maybe go get a drink, come back and see if maybe your post is updated. What i don't understand is sometimes why the site can be literally filled one minute with spam messages posting new chat topics etc, then I look ten minutes later and it's fine. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate all the work that goes ito this site. I'd say just wait to see if it comes up, and if your post isn't here, click the contact us link. I know they prefer to deal with issues like this behind the scenes so to speak. Sorry if i'm making assumptions. :)

We routinely check the spam filters several times per day to make sure that nothing legitimate has been blocked. If it has, it’s unblocked and posted to the site.

Hi Siobhan, As to your question as to how our site can be full of spam one minute and clear the next: we have the capability to remove all posts from a spammer's account in one go. So, if spammer X posts 50 spam messages to the site all at once, we can remove all 50 in one click--or tap of the enter key.

Hi. Thanks for answering my question, hope I sort of helped answer his question without stepping on toes as it were. As for the power, it was half a joke, hmm just think what I could do with that... Lol anyway have a good one and I'll seriously look if a position ever opens up to become part of your team. No, I wouldn't abuse the power in all seriousness. :)

Hi Chris,

We appreciate your feedback.

If an app entry does not post, the first thing to try is to go back through and check to make sure all the required fields are complete. If you look right above the beginning of the form, a message will display if there are any incomplete fields. For example, the text would look something like, "Device(s) App Was Tested On field is required," before continuing on to the explanation of the iOS App Directory.

If you've checked and all of the required fields are present, try resubmitting the post again. If the page does not refresh within a minute or so, try opening up the site in another browser tab and looking to see if the post is there. I have had it happen where I post something and the page takes a long time to refresh, even though the content was submitted and posted instantly.

If you have tried the above suggestions and are still unable to post to the site, please contact us for further assistance.
