Hi all, I don't know what came first. The last IOS update or getting Fleksy. All apps that use a keyboard no longer use a double tap on the keys, just like Fleksy they work by a touch and release is this normal now? or did I change this sone how. I'm using a 4s with VO on. Thanks John
Well, I think what you're asking is how to set your phone back so you can do a double tap on your keys when using the keyboard instead of the touch and release. If that is the case, then you need to know that iOS has two modes for typing, standard and touch. The "touch and release" as you call it is what they consider touch typing. The standard typing is where you touch the keyboard, find the letter you want, then double tap or split tap it. If this is your preferred typing method, then you need to go to an area where you have a keyboard on the screen, make sure the keyboard is in focus, then go through your roter until you get to typing and make sure that the typing method is set to standard typing. Hope this helps.
Hello. To all VO users, the typing modes has been changed in iOS 6. When using the touch typing mode, tapping once on the screen activates a letter, number simbols etc. For example: the dot simbol has a multiple characters, .com, .net, .org etc. double tapping and holding will activate it. I am using 2 inputs, Arabic and English. Has any one noticed that?
If my understanding is right, it has been that way since touch typing first came out, I believe in iOS4. I believe you are say ing that touching and then releasing a letter types that character, but if you tap and hold then drag your finger, it activates the extended keyboard with all of the other symbols on it.
Yes that was what I was asking. I don't know how I changed it but it is all fixed now. Thank you John
