I haven't seen any Twitter messages from the AppleVisXL account in several days. I depend on tweets from this account to follow threads in which I'm interested. Is the problem on my side or is AppleVis having more issues?
The site got a big rebuild a few weeks ago. One of the casualties of this is that the new system doesn't allow for as easy tweeting. The main APplevis account was also effected for a while, though it has now returned in mostly a similar form as before thanks to the site offering RSS feeds. However, seeing as individual forum threads/app entries don't offer them for new replies, I'm not sure how likely it is that ApplevisXL will be making a return. Hopefully this can still happen, I'd love to see this myself as well, but you should probably get used to it not being there for a while
Hey Jeff, there are no issues... we're simply no longer posting to that account.
Recent changes to the website would require that we seek out a new method of posting to that account. Having looked at what would be involved and the usage of that account, it's likely that it will be retired permanently.
Obviously I don't have much information, since I haven't seen anything posted about reasons for changing the website, but from my perspective, it seems like this site redesign is actually breaking things rather than fixing anything. We've lost the numbered replies and now we've lost the tweets for replies as well.
Can you please suggest an alternative to AppleVisXL for notification of new replies to forum threads? Without some sort of method for being notified of new replies, this site is going to become much, much less useful.
I'm currently trialling a service that would allow us to continue posting new replies on the site to the @AppleVisXL account.

Thanks, David, I did in fact miss that thread. I've read through it now and subscribed to it, so hopefully, I'll keep up with the latest info. However, subscribing to threads is not as efficient for me as following the AppleVisXL Twitter account. I'm certain having to subscribe to threads will diminish the usefulness of this site for me. It's a great site and I truly appreciate it, so if you can bring back the AppleVisXL tweets, I'll gladly donate to the site.
But following the link in the tweet isn't taking me directly to that comment like the old site did. Rather, it takes me to the top of the page for the thread. It's still very tricky to find the new comments. Can this be fixed to work like it did before?

Disappointing and frustrating
