Hi,
I know it's probably not an issue for those elsewhere in the world but for those of us in europe we have these stupid cookie acceptance notices on pretty much every site we go to. For most people this isn't much of a problem and easy to ignore but because voiceover focuses on these areas, it becomes yet another thing to navigate... All the damn time.
Has anyone got any advice in safari such as plug-ins or something similar to get rid of them? I'm happy to say yet to every one for what its worth.
I don't want to turn cookies off completely because I need them to keep logged in to sites... I just want to get past this frustrating aspect of web browsing.

Super Agent
The Super Agent Safari extension might be what you are looking for.
I don't do enough browsing to know just how much difference it makes, but I do get the impression that it's helping to reduce the number of cookie prompts.

Hero
Thanks so much. That seems to have done it. You'll save me my remaining hair. :)
Works on iOS too
Yes, this is a great little app. And just a heads up, it’s available for iOS too.
The only downside is that it only seems to work inside the Safari app itself, and not in web views in the likes of Google News and Twitter apps.
Safari Views
Close to the top of my iOS 16 wish list is support for Safari extensions in Safari views, as the mismatch of features and functionality between Safari Views and Safari itself has become ever more jarring since Safari extensions were introduced.
Gone very soon
Oliver, the good news is that the cookies nightmare is one very soon to be abolished, I believe. Once that happens, those in the UK will no longer be plagued by these awful dialogs that scream 'overregulation! Overregulation!' every time they pop up. Sadly, the EU looks as though it is going to persist with this folly for some time notwithstanding opposition from pretty vocal elements within the European Parliament.
For those of us in Europe clarification
And just to be clear as it's one of my pet hates - this is not an issue for non-EU parts of Europe such as Israel or Turkey. it only applies to EU member states, those who sign up to the EU privacy and data regime such as Norway and Switzerland, and to the UK which hasn't yet had time to repeal that part of retained EU law since its departure from the European Union.
Well for some
If that’s true about the UK then I am very jealous! Here in Ireland, it looks like we’re stuck with them for the foreseeable future. That said, I do like being able to reject some cookies, I just want a better way of managing the whole thing without all of these constant interruptions to my browsing.
Yes, hopefully iOS 16 will bring parity to safari views in other apps.
Dave reminds me that...
Lest I offend any Unionist (upper case U) readers, of course it is only mainland GB that has the undoubted freedom to dump the cookies dialog. The situation is less clear in respect of Northern Ireland which will still need to adhere to a degree of EU regulation. perhaps Ulster can also dump the cookies, however, as the single market doesn't extend to services but only to goods. You might have a situation where you're web browsing and go over the border so you're stung by the Cookie monster again.
