hello Jennie,

That is a very good question and I have a very easy steps in how you can submit your podcast to us!

1)First thing you will need to do is to log in to the AppleVis with your credentials
2) Once you have signed in. You will now see a link that says "Submit content". Just click on that link.
3) This will take you to a new page that has a variety of things you can submit to the AppleVis site. One of those things you will find on this page is a link to the "Upload audio for inclusion in a future AppleVis Podcast". Now just click on this link.
4) Now you should arrive to the page where there is a variety of question and fields you will need to fill in. Once those are completed. Now just click on the Upload button.

There are several things you will need to know.

Depending on your internet speed and the size of the podcast. This can take awhile to upload. So don't panic if nothing seems to be doing anything after clicking on that Upload button.

We can't see the progress of the upload but you can rest assure that it is being uploaded.

Be patience! You will know that the upload has successfully been uploaded by when the page will then refresh on its own. On this page it will contain that the file has been uploaded and the audio will be reviewed by the team.

We really appreciate the podcast anyone sends us! So we can't wait for it! :)

Hi Aaron, As AppleVis is strictly an Apple-related website, I do not think this would be the best place for a Nexus 7 podcast. Regards, Michael Hansen AppleVis Editorial Team

Hello Aaron, The answer to your question would be no. AppleVis is solely for the Apple devices and what you want to demostrate would be from a whole different platform. The device you have mentioned is an Android based device and it would have nothing in it that would pertain to our Apple users here on the site. We really appreciate the fact you were wanting to submit a podcast up on to AppleVis on behalf of you but all podcast have to some way pertain from an Apple device or an accessories for the Apple devices. Thanks!

Hello Tay Tay, Yes, absolutely. We would be delighted for you to upload a podcast on the game. I think many people on the AppleVis site would love to hear of it and a demostration of how to use it. We love to see any podcasts pertaining to the IOS Apps all of all kinds. Don't forget we also can use more Mac Apps, Jailbreak Apps, Tutorials, and such podcasts. So the more our users can provide the more that our visually impaired community can benefit from this! Thanks!

I'm very interested to record a podcast and submit it to AppleVis website. I never record a podcast before. I usually use DropVox app on my iPhone to record everything. Is that enough to record a podcast? Or do you have recommendation to record a podcast using iPhone or Mac? thanks

Hello Andira,

I've not used DropVox myself, but I believe that it's been used by others who have contributed podcasts to AppleVis.

As long as the app supports background recording, it should be fine.

One possible issue is that most (possibly all?) iOS voice recorders will stop recording if another app starts playing audio, so depending upon what you plan to demonstrate you might need to be prepared for that.

Don't worry if there are stray bits at the start and end of the recording of you are starting and stopping DropVox, as those can easily be trimmed when the audio is prepared for posting to the site.

Please ask if you have any other questions. In the meantime, we'll be looking forward to hearing your podcast (smile)
