Observations about Microsoft Soundscape and a question about the voice used by the app
I have been experimenting with Microsoft's Soundscape and thus far, I'm enjoying it immensely. I have been using it in conjunction with Nearby Explorer. I've found Soundscape to be more accurate/precise as we approach an intersection. I'll be standing at the intersection and NE tells me that I'll be at the intersection in 30 feet. Oops. I'll revisit the NE app to see if I can better calibrate it.
In the meantime, the default voice in Soundscape is UK English. No offense to our British friends, but being that I am also hard of hearing, I am challenged with accent. I've written Microsoft asking if they plan to offer a US voice and they replied that it may be under consideration for a later update. Anyone experiencing the same or have a workaround?
Thanks in advance for any feedback.
Which app is that? Never heard about it. It is free?
