So that is all a bit wordy.
Basically I'm using MP3s from the fantastic audio vault.net that provides audio description tracks of most movies and TV series though without the video.
I like watching movies with my friends and family which raises a problem, either I watch with friends with audio description on which is annoying for everyone, including me, or I watch alone like the sad little fellow I am but have audio description on.
I did have a go with Spectrum Access which is really cool, but it's not got a very comprehensive library yet and I'm unable to find any application that can sync user provided audio, EG audio vault tracks, with the main movie track.
There, I'm looking for a media player that allows for fine control to stop and start an MP3, fine skipping and so on, to sync audio with a movie so I can listen to it with one ear bud whilst friends can enjoy the uninterrupted audio track of the movie.
Any ideas? Any magic app out there that could sync it automatically for me? In theory it's not too hard, just need a means of comparing the microphone input waveform to the MP3 waveform of the audio described track... But anyway...
Cheers
