Beginner questions about transferring music and playing it

iOS and iPadOS

Hi all.
I am a beginner user of ifone.
I was an android user for many years.
I am using an ifone xs 512 gb.

I was wondering if it is possible to transfer some music on to the ifone using google drive or any other cloud service instead of having to use itunes?

I was also wondering if there is a player on ios which can play music from folders?
I had an app on my android called music folder player which could play music from any folder and its subfolders, and it could remember the playing position for each folder separately.
?So I could transfer audio books that way and I could continue at the position I left them the last time.
Thanks a lot

I've been using FE File Explorer to transfer files to and from my phone. It may help to know a bit about what you're doing, since you might have to set up SSH or something to communicate with your computer, but you could follow a guide. I'd be curious about the playing songs component, if people have good music playing apps let me know.

IMHO, Voice Dream Reader is the best audiobook player you can get on iOS as long as your files are unprotected. It will play music as well, of course.

Foobar2000 is another option for playing music, although I haven't used it enough to describe its features.

If you have music on a network drive, your drive manufacturer may have an app that will view/play your music files. I know Western Digital does have such an app.

Also, I've not actually tried this, but I think cloud apps such as Dropbox and Google Drive might also play music stored in their cloud.

I know there are other apps which provide these functions. Perhaps others will chime in with some suggestions.

Thanks all for your answers.
About music playing, I need something that will let me to put the files on the ifone so I can listen when I am ofline.
So I wouldn't use something that will let me stream my music from the cloud.
