I just heard on NPR's Morning Edition, that Apple has withdrawn the IOS8 update because of too many reports of serious problems with it.

One example they gave was that many users were reporting that Touch ID quit working, locking some users out of their devices.

Interestingly, while I was looking for a setting on my iPod Touch, on a whim, I went to the software update page. It said that an update to 8.0.1 was available. I decided to finish what I was doing and grab the update afterwards. Unfortunately, a few minutes later, when I went back to get the 8.0.1 update, it was gone.

I guess there'll be an egg shortage now since most of them are on Apple's face! >:-) (evil grin)
