I am a Windows user and I'm looking for a wired keyboard that I can hook up to my iPhone SE. I have one that I believe is modeled after Mac keyboards that I do not like at all. Does any one know of a good, full sized, windows style, wired, keyboard that can be hooked up to an iPhone with a lightning port?
I do not want a bluetooth keyboard because I am unable to enter the pairing code in time to get it to successfully pair with my phone. Wired keyboards don't put you through such non sense.
By windows style I mean that the four arrow keys are in a separate grouping that resembles an inverted (upsidedown)) 'T', with a group of six keys above the arrow keys with insert, delete, home, end, page up, and page down keys, and a numeric keypad, all in separate groupings.
Thanks!

Can you buy a regular keyboard.
And connect it to your IPhone with an adaptor?
Sorry I can't help, I've just got my bluetooth keyboard and was able to pare it usign the number thing you mentioned, it doesn't give you a very long time but I was able to do it.
I just typed in USB to apple adaptor and stuff came up so I'm sure this would be an option for you.
Is that possible? I have…
Is that possible?
I have several keyboards already so all I'd need is the appropriate adapter and I'd be all set...
Thanks!
From what I quickly looked up, yeah.
Isn't tech amazing!
Just type in USB to apple adaptor and see what comes up, I bet you find something.
Way cool! (dating myself…
Way cool! (dating myself there...) That means I can use the exact same kind of keyboard that I type on all day long.
I'll need to look up the windows keyboard equivalents for the Apple keys, but that shouldn't be too hard... Google to the rescue!
Thanks a lot!
Oh it's cool alright.
Or perhaps it's groovy, haha. I never used that word but used to use and still use cool.
No problem.
Not so fast it seems...
I have been searching and can't seem to find the appropriate adaptor or cable. Is it possible that this wouldn't work after all?
Specifically you'd need a female USB A to male lightning plug, and it seems like nobody makes one... :-(
Unless I am missing something...

Adapter
This is the higher priced, but better option:
https://www.amazon.com/Apple-Lightning-USB3-Camera-Adapter/dp/B01F7KJDIM
You can power it, and also use USB memory sticks.
If you want low priced, why not get a female to female USB A adapter or gender changer and use the lightning cable you already have?
Followup
I couldn't find a gender changer in my stash of adapters and connectors, so I couldn't test that.
I did hook up a regular Microsoft keyboard with the numpad to my iPhone with the camera adapter I linked to. I'm not sure why you need the numpad, but the numlock does not seem to work. It gives numbers and the shift with the numpad keys changes them to something else, but I can't tell what.
The control, command, option keys work fine, but that key for the right click of application on the right side doesn't seem to do anything. And the delete key by the end key didn't seem to do anything in help mode.
I didn't fool with the function keys because they can mess up the sound output and so on.
Also, the phone is able to power the keyboard on its own. Don't know what that will do to your battery life though.
It is beginning to sound…
It is beginning to sound like I would be better off with a keyboard specifically designed to connect to an iPhone that has its keys in a standard PC configuration rather than attempting to connect a standard USB PC keyboard through adaptors to the iPhone.
Question
What are you going to use the numpad for on IOS? I find a ton of fullsized wired lightning keyboards, but none with the numpad.
I can't think of any reason to use it, other than entering numbers, on IOS. Just wondering.

I do do a lot of work with numbers such that any keyboard I've bought that didn't have a numeric keypad soon ended up in the trash.

Hmm, I move my fingers to the number row as if it were the home row when I have a bunch of numbers to do.
I wouldn't give up on the lightning to USB adaptor idea. Sounds like you don't need the numlock, and everything else seemed to work.
I just don't think you're going to find a lightning wired keyboard with a numpad.
