ad blocker sofware questions

Hey all!
Ever since I got my ipad, I've always been afraid of adblocking software because I didn't want 2 screw up Vo. or web sites themselves.
but now, with the kind of ads I'm seeing now, I'm starting 2 reconsider. But, I do have questions.
1. have any of you guys used an ad blocker? how does it work?
2. which ones do you recommend? which ones are the most accessible?
3. what's been your experience with ad blockers in general? have you liked using one?
also, will it block ads if I open articles in the Facebook app & in google news?
and if I decide 2 use 1 & don't like it, how easy was it to get rid op including any web browsing extensions?
I may have other queries later on as I get answers & or recommendations. because I really want 2 get as much info as possible before I download 1. Jhanks in advance 4 all your help! :)

#1 PURIFY

I have purify there is a podcast on it via applevis. It works well. Regarding facebook, I do not use but it has a setting for it. I think it may be for it.

#2 how's it been

what's been your experience with it?
I listened to the podcast & I'm looking @ buying it. but what's it been like for you?
have is messed up Vo.? has it messed up other sites? Has it messed things up on the device in general?

#3 PURIFY

I have bot notice any problem. However I am not sure how it will be with iOS 13.1 when comes out. The times I use safari I have no issues.

#4 thank you

Thank you!
I purchased it yesterday, & so far, it's been working beautifully!! I opened articles on Google News, that were on sites that were notorious for annoying ads that voiceover didn't like. And I didn't see an ad at all!
seen 1 or 2 images but not sure if tey're lelated to ads or not. but I'm luping it so far! I used it even on sites that were not ad-filled, but may have had fonts & other things, & I had blocked them & they loaded fast! This will definetely be staying on my ipad!
I tried a free 1, Adguard, but I don't know if it was me, or what but it wasn't working well. Plus, there were a few unlabeled buttons in the preferences tab. This is some of the best $3 I've spent! Thank you again for saving my sanity! lol

#5 Happy

Glad it work for you. How did in facebook? I do not have it so I do not know. Hope also it does a great job.

#6 great!

It worked great!
I opened an article from 1 of my local Tv. news stations, & usually it's pretty bad with ads. mostly, it depends on what article you open etc. And it worked great! It was a bit slow at 1st but that happens sometime in the Facebook browser. Plus, my connection was slow that day too. O well, that's what you get if you live so far out in the sticks that they won't deliver pizza 2 your house! lol
But once it loaded, alb was well.
So you can tell anyone else who asks you that it works with Facebook, Google News & of course Safari. Not sure if it'd work or how well it'd work with Chrome or other 3rd party browser Ios. apps, or other news apps including Apple's own news app.
And this was 1 of the main reasons I quit using Apple's news app. Because it got so clogged with ads that Vo. had a hard time, even if I opened it in Safari. That, and the knew design was too confusing. But that's another story for another time.
I'm going 2 go & enable the extensions on my share sheet later today because I forgot 2 do it this morning. lol

#7 AdGuard or AdGuard pro

In truth, I’ve used almost every worthwhile ad blocking software. For months, I used a combination of one blocker x and Luna. It perfectly blocked advertisements on both Safari and applications. It also did not slow down the overall connection as many ad blocker’s do. recently, I switched over to AdGuard Pro. It does the same thing in one application. I’ve suffered no issues in blocking any advertisements. Pages load faster, everything‘s more uniform as a whole. I recommend add guard pro or AdGuard if you’re looking for a more in-depth ad blocking program. Everything is accessible. It is fully usable with voiceover
