Accessibility Comments

The 4.1update (May 2011) adds Voice Recognition to input search terms (category, or name of business) into the text box. Flick right past the "Find" text box to the "Microphone" button and double tap. You'll hear the app say "listening". Speak your search phrase and pause. The app will say "done listening" and display your results. If there is a problem with the voice recognition, you'll get a message "No results. There was an error processing your speech, please try again." with button options to "Cancel" or "Try again." The results will show up, just as though you had typed them in. The voice recognition is powered by the same Nuance engine used by Dragon Dictation. The 4.4 update (March 27, 2012). Adds turn-by-turn Voice GPS navigation. Other Comments

Although this app appeared in the U.S. App Store and was specifically tested for that country, the developer (Avantar LLC) also makes White & Yellow Pages Apps for other countries (e.g. New Zealand and Australia) Avantar appears to have added turn-by-turn directions to its suite of other apps, as well.

Free AirYell app in Canadian store also adds voice recognition

Avantar's free yellow pages app for the Canadian App Store, AirYell, has also just added a similar voice recognition option. I can't test this app since it's not available in the U.S. App Store, but here's the link to the free AirYell app in the Canadian app store:

This is also supposed to be a Universal binary version

New features in Version 4.4 Worth Noting...

Now has a FREE integrated Turn by Turn GPS Navigation! For being FREE this is certainly something to check out. Works rather well for me and very surprise to offer such a quality good navigation. You won't be able to use it to enter addresses as you would in a normal GPF Navigation app but it will get you to places that the White and Yellow Pages has to offer. I love this app.

I have used this app ever since I got my iphone almost 2 years ago. It has always been accessible & easy to use. Congrats to the developers who, either by accident or on purpose keep their app accessible for us.

A NEW major release which brings some changes to the interface. For the most part it is still mostly accessible. There are a few places you will find some unlabel buttons. However, still very easy to use.
