In this guide, I will be teaching you how to lock your notes using a password. Locking your notes can come in handy, especially in cases where someone wants to find out what your facebook or twitter username/password is. I will be guiding you on how to lock your notes, change your password, and also reset it.

Locking Notes

To lock notes, make sure your device is running iOS 9.3. Open the Notes app and tap on a folder you want to open, like iCloud. Notes are stored in certain folders for different accounts, so just pick the account you want the note stored in if you want to create one. I will go in full detail of creating the notes and then locking them.

If you want a new note, tap on the New Note button. However if you want to lock your notes immediately, wait until the upcoming steps.

Enter a title for your note and hit Return about 5 times. The reason you must do this is because if you don't, half of the second line of your note will blend into the title. When you have your title and have hit Return 5 times, you may now type in whatever you need to type in.

Now, it is time to lock your note. If this is your first time, don't worry. I will make my steps clear.

Tap on the Share button and flick right until you hear Lock Note. Tap on this button, then type in a password. You will be asked to retype the password, then also put in a hint. When done, press Ok.

You've done it! You've locked your first note.

Change Your Password

If you ever become tired of your same old password you can change it.

Go to Settings > Notes > Password. Tap on the Change Password button. From here, you can change your password. Type in your old password, then type and retype your new password. Put in a password hint, and then when you are done press the Done button.

Reset/Delete Your Password

If you don't want a password on your Notes anymore, you can erase it.

Go to Settings > Notes > Password > Reset Password. Type in your Apple ID password, then hit the Done/OK button. A confirmation alert will pop up. Tap Reset Password. You will be presented with a screen prompting you to create a password. Tap Cancel to exit from that screen.

Hope this guide helps.
