Barcode Scanner on LookTel Recognizer

How do you get it to work?

Every time I focus on a barcode and hit the scan button, all I hear is a "beep" and then no further feedback. Also, after the "beep" everythign else is dimmed. Also, sometimes, it takes a couple of presses to get the scan button to even activate.

Also, for some reason, the "torch" (whatever that is) turns off after a certain amount oftime. Not sure if that's normal and if it turning off or on is interfering with my barcode scanning...

Am I missing something here? How do I scan using LookTel Recognizer?

I have no experience with Look Tel Recognizer , but

I would bet that torch turns on the camera's flash to provide more light for the recognizer to see with. If that's the case, I would imagine that it's been set up to time out and turn off automatically to conserve battery power.

Now I have experience and I have the same question Misty does, how do you get the bar scanner to work? I'm experiencing the exact same problem Misty is. When it sees a bar code, it beeps, then dies.

And I was hoping its bar code scanner could replace the now non functional Red Laser.
