when you load the app to navigate pages of stories use 3 finger swipes to the left or right, normal gestures for moving between pages. In the articles list there are two unlabelled buttons beside every article, one sets the text to speech reading and I think the other opens the news source on its original page.
even though the description says news read by real people I have only spent a few minutes with this app, and so far all the articles I have tried tapping the button to read are read by ios's artificial speech, so either the description is just misleading or maybe I haven't figured something out yet.

I might try and find their twitter name and point them to this review. Maybe they can help answer questions as well.
You might as well not even click on the article to have it read to you, as VO reads the whole thing when you swipe to it and the Samantha voice doesn't read anything extra.
Is this app faulse advertisment maybe? it says in the description that real people read it so I'm a bit confused here. If what they mean by real people is voice over or synth voice that is not real people.
Take care to all.
I tried it and it does not have anyone reading. The only things that read are the ios voices. I'd not use this app if you want news. I'd wait for the IOS 9 update. There will be a news app there.
hi! I have not got the Voice Paper app myself, but I can understand the disappointment people posting here felt when hearing VoiceOver instead of an actual person, after the app description gave the impression that real people would read the news. This was probably included for the benefit of sighted people, to let them know that they can listen to a news article rather than reading it with their eyes, with the voice being human-sounding, or relatively so, depending on your point of view. This app could still potentially be useful to blind people wanting to keep up with the news, though. The News app in IOS 9 will not be available all over the world, therefore it's still useful to have accessible news apps available for blind users in countries where Apple's future built-in news app for IOS can't be used;
I wouldn't exactly describe this as accessible with no labelled buttons, and I have actually deleted this app from my phone, I simply posted it to the site so it has a record of it, personally its not something I am going to use. I wonder if the author maybe doesn't have English as there first language and so doesn't understand when they say real people what this implies maybe by real people they just mean as was pointed out above an artificial voice reading to you so you don't have to look at the screen. But I guess on the other hand real people sounds more interesting than artificial voice lol.
