Papa Sangre II has just arrived in the iTunes App Store. This much anticipated follow-up to the Papa Sangre game from 2010 is the third audio only game release from Somethin’ Else. If this latest adventure follows in the footsteps of the two previous games, it is certain to be a hit with blind iOS gamers.
Papa Sangre II is a horror game that takes as its starting point a macabre concept: your own death. The player...

If the title of the article sounds flatulent -- something like a slogan borrowed from the Madison Avenue, I encourage you to take a look at Voice Dream Reader on the App Store -- its AppleVis entry is also here. In short, many ebook readers come and go, many apps of that sort are born and quickly...

The fact that this question is being posted on a website for blind iOS users means that you should already be able to hazard a shrewd guess at my likely answer. However, before we head towards that seemingly inevitable conclusion, I should begin by acknowledging that the answer is always going to be heavily dependant upon comparative levels of knowledge and experience. So, if given the choice between an experienced iOS user or a novice, you should probably...

The number of iOS games which are playable by VoiceOver users seems to grow daily, with developers either releasing new titles that are accessible out of the box (such as The Inquisitor Audiogame Adventure and Clever Clues) or joining the VoiceOver party by making existing games accessible.

No matter...

We've all heard the familiar question before: You're stuck on a desert island. If you could bring one thing with you, what would it be--and why?

In recent years, my answer to such a question was simple: my cane. Without it, I'd be in big trouble. If given more choices, I would invariably include things like food and water...and my iPhone.

Oh, and speaking of that iPhone. If I had to choose only one app to have on my phone, what would I choose?

The answer, for me at...

It's been a few weeks since LookTel Recognizer was released, and in that time we've heard of some very positive, creative and downright bizarre ways that the app can be used.

In addition to making it easier to identify objects around the home, Recognizer has been put to good use in such places as shopping malls, restaurants, hotels, camp sites and people's work...

If you are a Navigon user, I would encourage you not to update to version 2.0 just yet.

I've updated to this new version and am experiencing major problems.

The update installed fine. I was then required to select which map areas I wanted to download. The download took quite some time, and at various stages VoiceOver became unresponsive.

However, it did eventually complete, and I was presented with a button to start the app. On doing so, things immediately went from bad...

Hi all,

Welcome to my first blog entry.

I'm just writing this to warn you about uuntethered scammers.
Basicly, they wil ask for money, and provide you with an untethered jailbreak.
These are scams, as they'll either take your money and run off, or give you a virus, that could seriously harm your iOS device, and or PC.

There is no untethered JB for iOS 5, as of yet, but their is a tethered one.

Thanks for reading,

Microsoft has just released a OneNote app for the iPhone, and it's free "for a limited time".

As with the Windows Phone 7 app, the iPhone app will let you manage notes and shopping lists (and even add photos taken with the iPhone's camera), and then sync those with Windows Live SkyDrive so you can access them in either the Windows desktop application or its web-based counterpart.

The OneNote app is currently only available to US users. We are still waiting for reports on the...
